I was approached by this guy in a suburban/black, he said he had some surroundsounds he wanted to get rid off. I was interested because I was planning on buy one. He showed me the bix boxes in back but I told him I wanted to hear them and my m oney was at the house anyways. He agreed to come over and connect them. They worked, sounded fine, have no complaints, they looked great, ellegant and new. I bought them for 700 dollars, both systems. The sytems where:
1...2 very elegant tall speakers, pt-1100s suggested retail price, 1469.00 each.
2...Shock pt-9000s, suggested retail price, 2999.00.
3...DA 3.1 (this system goes witih the pt-1100s) estimated retail value 1999.00(cannot find it on the internet, they do show a system with 5.1 but it says retail value is 1999.00) Mine is the 3.1.
I bought all these, 2 surround systems for 700.00,. I have no problem with the system, the only issue I have is that I cannot find ANYTHING on the internet wtih regards to information or real dollar value! The pt-1100s are very well made, elegant, cherry like wood, sound good, I am shocked I have been a victim but in a ways Im not that hurt, they do sound very good and one of the sytems is going into my bedroom and the real nice one in the living room. I am not sure how this could be a scam and be so well made, what are they realy gettting out of this? I just wish I could of found out the real value of them or information on the internet!
