Publishers National Associated Service ripoff Blasdell New York
I was not surprised to see that there was another person who filed a rip-off report on Publishers National Associated Service. I cannot believe that in our civilized country there is a business out there that runs on the vulnerability of consumers.
This company contacted me at my job and tied up over 20 minutes of my time, not once, not twice, but three times. I am ashamed to admit that I fell for their scam, but I did. Five different magazines at one low monthly rate for five years. (They couldn't even send my subscriptions to the correct address - for 6 months after I caved.) After I came to grips with my own stupidity, I sent in my monthly installments on a regular basis, on time.
It wasn't long before I started getting threatening accusing phone calls AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT telling me how far behind I was on my payments. Believing that I was current on my payments, but afraid that perhaps I sent them in to the wrong address, I went home to check. I had never sent in a payment that was late. When I repeatedly told the collector that I was current and they repeatedly told me that they would take care of the situation, I still am getting telephone calls from rude and snotty people wanting to settle my account, even if I'm not past due. What a crock!!!!
I was told after I had sent in my initial $29 start up fee, that you are not allowed to cancel and if you do your credit will be destroyed. What do I do if I want out? How do we keep companies like this one from prospering? I am appalled that they are in business. If you get a call from these crooks, tell them where to stick their subscriptions and order them never to call you again!
