Puppet Theater Tree of Wonders Olga Leyman Olga Koptelova Not paying Employees Studio City California
Puppet Theater Tree of Wonders hires couple of puppeteers for their party gigs. However, Olga Leyman does NOT pay her employees (puppeteers) on time and quite often she does not even pay at all. Olga Leyman claimed that she was suffering from her abusive husband and has been too busy raising two sons. According to her story, her family issues made her difficult to pay promptly. She made an contract with all the puppeteers for the rate "50 USD” per one puppet show performance.
She made an contract with her male puppeteer partner Joseph Martone, 120 USD per gig. Joseph Martone insisted that he will take all the tips, even though when more than two people work together. Joseph claimed that Olga appointed him as a business partner. Olga Leyman finally closed down her official website, chose not to answer the phone call and claimed that she flew to Russia for her family issue.
Her family problem is nothing to do with her professional business, however; she chose not to show her professionalism. Olga Leyman even stated "I left my check book at home” when she could not find any excuse for not paying. More than 5 puppeteers eventually left her company without getting paid and the team is preparing for the law suit. Do NOT even book an appointment with Olga for any children’s birthday party, as she does double booking all the time.
