PurCo Fleet Services, Inc. Excessive repair charges for scratches under rental car bumper. No live checkin at return to verify. SCAM. Spanish Fork Utah
I rented a car through Thrifty Rental Car in Spokane, Wa. PurCo Fleet services the vehicles. The vehicle had a few minor scratches to the underside of the bumper so they claim. Almost all rental car agencies dismiss minor scratches as vehicle wear. I did not create those scratches-- it was already there I just didn't see them upon exit. Upon return no one checked me in at 9AM. I get this letter from PurCo claiming repair charges of over $1,100 dollars including administrative fees. This is highly outrageous for a few scratches to a rental vehicle. Again no one checked me in live upon return--awful service on their part. How can they claim it was from my rental? In any event these charges are outrageous and I believe this needs to be investigated perhaps from some possibility of referral kickbacks and under the table referral fees with the body shop. I am calling this a SCAM- dont rent from Thrifty/Dollar at Spokane Airport (GEG). If they treat a Thrifty Blue Chip member and Dollar Express member like me with this scam-like shenanigans they can do it to anybody. I'm calling the BBB as well on this one. PurCo be ashamed of your devious schemes of greed.
