Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In early March 2011, I took my 2007 Dodge Caliber to the Allen Road Purrfect Auto Location in North Las Vegas, Nevada for an Oil Change.
I simply told them that I needed an Oil Change, and I assumed they knew what they were doing.
Big Mistake!
Even though the Oil Cap plainly says to use 5w20 Oil ONLY, the sticker they put on my windshield, said they put 10w30.
I noticed this, when I got home, and so I called and spoke to the Manager about this.
He was a real jerk, and was not willing to take care of the problem.
He even threatened to call the Police, if I showed back up there.
Frustrated, I reported this to the BBB.
The lady with their customer Service at Purrfect Auto, called me, and scheduled an Oil Change at the Camino Al Norte Location, in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
It took them an hour to do the "Oil Change" and I noticed that the guy was walking from place to place, with a wrench, and it looked like he was turning it.
This seemed rather odd to me, if all he was doing was tightening the Oil Plug.
When he finished, the Manager took me out to show me that I had an "Oil Leak" with the Pan Gasket.
Being I had just changed it myself, in August, and used a Torque Wrench to make sure the bolts were tightened properly, I knew they were trying to scam me!
On the Receipt, it said that it would cost me $180.00 for Parts & Labor for them to replace the Pan Gasket.
I drove the Car, and did not have any real problems with it, until I drove it to Utah.
When i came home from my trip, I took my Car to Fabulous Freddy's in North Las Vegas, because it had a noise, that sounded like a Rod Knock.
Upon inspection, the Manager found that it had 3 Quarts too much Oil in it, and that the Bolts were not tight, on the Pan Gasket.
Apparently, they loosened them at Purrfect Auto in an attempt to get me to pay for Service I did not need.
Freddy's did not charge me for draining the 3 extra Quarts of Oil, or tightening the Bolts.
The next day, I took my Car back to Freddy's to get the Oil Change.
The Manager did not want to do it, until he knew I did not have a leak.
There was no leak, after the Bolts had been tightened.
They changed the Oil, and informed me that apparently Purrfect Auto did not even change the Oil Filter, and just added an extra 3 Quarts of Oil.
I called Purrfect Auto's Customer Service, and got a call back from some Foriegn Speaking Man who was very rude, and aggressive towards me!
He threatened to call the Police, if I ever came to the Camino Al Norte Location.
Sound Familiar?
I contacted News Channel 8, and was informed that they are currently being sued by Purrfect Auto, for exposing what a FRAUD this Company is.
With all the people who have complained here, and on other sights, I am wondering if anyone knows of a Class Action Lawsuit that might be in the works, against this Company?
They are a FRAUD, and need to be shut down!
The Customer Service Department is NOT located at any of the "Service Locations" which allows the Man to speak rude, and make threats, while he hides behind a telephone.
It is my understanding that they stay in Business by switching Owners all the time, and probably avoid any Legal Prosecution as well.

Purrfect Auto owner found liable

#2Consumer Comment

Wed, August 10, 2011

Shafik Hirji, pseudo owner of many Purrfect Autos was recently indicted in California for multiple fraud complaints just like you experienced. From a Channel 8 report in June, 2011:

"Though common sense suggests the rip-offs were more than a coincidence, the Nevada Attorney General's Office gathered evidence of a common scheme among 11 Purrfect Auto locations and dubbed one man, Shafik Hirji, the mastermind behind an effort to scam his customers, even though Hirji insisted during recent court hearings that he was only a consultant with the company.
Judge Mark Denton disagreed. In a 10 page ruling, the judge found the state provided substantial evidence that Hirji controls all Nevada Purrfect Auto locations, even though his name doesn't appear on any corporate paperwork. As such, Hirji is liable for nearly $120,000 in restitution to consumers and another $100,000 in fines. But perhaps the harshest penalty is a permanent ban against Hirji's participation in the auto repair industry unless he does so above board."

The report also suggests that complaints against Purrfect Auto (Nevada) be filed here:
