Complaint Review: QBE - Internet

QBE / Balboa (all the same company) tries but they FAIL every chance they get. All I wanted was a bill mailed to my correct US Mail address. They mess that up EVERY time. I have not received a bill on time in over two years.

I set my Quicken to remind me that the bill is coming. So I call QBE / Balboa every six months asking where is my bill. But even with the extra time, I could not get QBE / Balboa staff to correctly update my mailing address. It keeps reverting to an old address that does not have mail service.  It has never had mail service.

So yesterday I called QBE / Balboa and spoke with Ellen Strange. She advised me that I could call in 24/7 to make a payment. I told her that I would find another insurance company but would call back to make the payment if I didnt get insurance. Later that day I ran out of time to find a new company so I called the automated QBE / Balboa payment system to make the payment. Many times their system failed. I called first thing this morning to speak with a real person and got a message indicating that the payment system has been down for two days. So how can I pay my premium? QBE / Balboa will not mail me a bill and when I call to make a payment, their system is down.

Whose fault is that? I did everything I could to make the payment. I relied upon the QBE / Balboa employees to tell me the truth. And when I followed their direction, I lost my coverage.

Today I spoke with Peggy Wenzel and she is telling me there is no grace period and I have lost my insurance. Again, whose fault is that? I did *everything* I could to make the payment. I went way above and beyond to try to work with QBE / Balboa. But they decided to mismanage their data (mailing addresses) and give me incorrect information about how to pay and then refer me to an online system that was broken.

Did Ellen Stange know she was telling a lie when she referred me to the broken automated system? Is Peggy Wenzel serious that she is not going to reinstate my insurance when QBE / Balboa caused the lapse? If QBE
/ Balboa does not want California insureds then stop doing business here. But do not trick us into losing coverage.
