Received an unsolicited telephone call, Sunday morning 02/20/2011 at 9:30 a.m. Called asked for me by first and last name. I said yes, it is he whom you are calling. The caller then stated that they were going to be in my area this coming week and could provide home repair estimates. I told the caller I don't have a need for their services and hung up the phone.
Then what do you know, another call four (4) hours later, asking for me again by first and last name. The caller also asked if the mrs. last name was home. I again said yes, it his he whom you are calling. Again, they offered their services, claiming to be Quality Home Construction.
I told the caller that I had someone at the door and asked if I could call them back in a few minutes, so that I could obtain their telephone number.
I Googled their phone number 877-343-9401, came up with a company called ESI here in California, although an expired contractors license as associated with that particular business name.
I then called them back at 877-343-9401 and a woman answered the phone "Construction". I asked for John Reed, the name of the individual that stated he was calling me the second time. I asked for their State of California contractors license and was given 872135. License is current, although the phone number associated with the license on the State contractors website is different; 818-442-8877.
I asked John Reed to delete me from their database.
I suspect that the the two calls I had were some type of rouse; either for skip tracing purposes or a potential robbery.
I don't know what other personal information they had which is in the public domain, other than my first and last name, besides my home phone number.

This company called my number, which has been on the DoNotCall Registry for 7+ years, claiming to have an office nearby [Agoura Hills is not nearby] and hung up when I asked for their address. The caller said his name is "Anthony Garcia." Why then does "SilvaChambers J" calling from 310-409-9922 show on Caller ID? We register our names on the DNC List for a reason - to be free of harassing and intruding calls like these, and Mr. Garcia recorded the call without my permission or knowledge. Why trust remodeling work to a contractor with no respect for our laws. I won't.
The original reporter is to be commended for publishing this invasion of his privacy.
Mr. RobRoy, are you a shill for this company? Or do you delight in interrupting people's meal times with your unwanted calls?

I really don't understand where the rip-off was, you are saying that all this company did was call you and offer their services which you declined. ripoffreport is a website that warns other consumers about companies that literally rip people off and in this case no one was rip offed.
I've personally worked with this company in the past and they did amazing work for me in my home. They remodeled my kitchen, it was completed on time and it looks amazing. During the construction everything was taped and sealed properly and the rest of my house wasn't subject to debris or dust. I paid in stages as the project was being completed and made a final payment when it was complete and I was satisfied with the work. They made sure that I was happy with everything before I wrote every check.
That's why i'm a little shocked that this company did absolutely nothing to you besides make a phone call and you report them as ripping you off. Sorry it makes me upset.
