I dont understand the minds of people such as these. Alittle ignorant, I will say of myself, when it comes to trusting others. I will work hard on not letting these people allow me to lose faith in others.

We went to a home show, thinking that I would find upright and good companies to do the remodel of our kitchen. The sales rep Lela that came to the house, appeared to be a great individual, or so I thought. When it came to the drafting period, she was gone, no longer employed. Lela, did you know how they operated when you took the job? If so, you were one to? How could you take a check from people with good conscience of what happens to them?

Once he drafter came and took another check, I was amazed at the lack of communication that I was receiving. I started out nice on my messages, just asking for a update. Why wouldnt they call back? I have left several messages, almost daily, to no return calls. I didnt get it.

Finally, I was frustrated. I have already left emails and messages for others that would not contact me back, so I searched on the BBB, their company finally. Much to my amazement, because their address changed, I didnt find them the first time around. It came up with their old address and I saw that there were around 63 complaints in the last 36 months.

My heart dropped. I was reading complaints that I was living. I just wanted my money back. How can people do that? How can they just take what we work so hard to get, as if it belongs to them? How do they look at themselves in the mirror everyday? How did that draftsman Ed come in my house and act like it was all good, especially when I asked questions that would warrant the answers I was now getting? Ed, how could you take my check and lie to my face?

I finally left a message with the owner, ignorantly thinking I would get a response. Nope. Not a call. However, even though I had called for the last few weeks with no response, it amazed me that 15 minutes after I left the message to the owner, I get a call from Wayne, production manager(?) whom I have left messages for before, acting like I never left a message. He was all happy in his voice, how ya doing, how can I help you? He knows exactly how he can help me, it was not new news! I have requested a refund of my money. He promised me that he would call me by the next afternoon with a resolution. I asked why should I believe he would call me back? He promised.. - Yeah, ok, guess what? He didnt call, so I did, and.... Right, he wasnt in, and neither was the owner.

I did file a complaint with the BBB. I am hoping that a resoltion can be done with them, I have never had to deal with the BBB, but I am now trusting them to help me.

The truth is, I am irate. If no resolution comes to be, if I dont get my money back. Quality Kitchens will realize that I will make every effort possible to make the public aware of their "lack of" business practices. I will be so vocal about the situation, that they will not be able to steal another penny from any consumer.

What I learned in regards to Quality Kitchens, Northridge, CA

Anyone that has a contract with Stanley Logsdons name on it, pull up his license number on the California State Contracting website at www.cslb.ca.gov and it has his phone number. He is responsible for any jobs with his name and is willing to work things out. He was very willing to talk to me and said he would get back to me tomorrow. He seemed very straightforward and understanding. If this ends up not being the case, I will log back on and let you all know. Otherwise, lets hope for the best. My fingers are crossed!
