Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
It is best to read the words of a person that promises to get me my deposit back - maybe a pattern is forming given the other complaints?

Bruce,

Ive seen your comments on the Quicken Loans blog. I understand a little bit about your situation (based on what Ive read ) and what happened when you worked with us last year, but wanted to see if youd be willing to talk with me about this.

I know youve talked extensively with our Client Relations team and Im not sure if I can help, but Id like to talk to you if youre willing to clearly explain what happened. I can call you or we can communicate over email. I just would like a little more background on exactly what happened and how your relationship with Quicken Loans soured to the point you feel we cheated you.

Do you have a few minutes to talk? Please let me know. Again, Im not sure if I help, but I might be able to if I understand more.

Thanks

Hi Bruce

I'm still looking into this. I may need to talk to you tomorrow if you have a second to recap everything before I take this to my team leaders to consider a refund. But here's what I know:

You wanted to refinance. You were quoted a rate and some costs. After you submitted your online docs (esigned your Interest Rate Disclosure Form and your Good Faith Estimate), your credit card was charged $500 which is our standard procedure. At that point you realized you were being charged 4 discount points which you claim weren't disclosed in previous conversations.

Once you saw these discount points, you decided to not move forward, and we retained your deposit, which is our standard procedure (and was included in your signed documents).

Is there anything else? The more information I have the better. There was no appraisal, correct?

Thanks

Clayton

I finally get an answer from the person employed to handle complaints on this site. Kelly whoever you are? Your job is to rationalize and make excuses for defrauding potential customers and using less that ethical business practices. Once you would get a product for half a thousand dollars! You and your company are amoral and are composed by (from my experience with you so far) JERKS. You word means nothing. I knew that your sleazy business would not honor any words given me which am what the past was made. If you would do the right thing than I would also speak clearly about that. I challenge you to do the RIGHT THING.

Hi again Bruce -

Thanks for updating. While I realize you had been emailing with Clayton and had said he would look into your loan, he did not promise you a refund. He said he would look into it, but never promised you a refund. That's clear to anyone who will read what you've posted here.

Each person you've talked to here has investigated your situation and the outcome will always be the same. You signed your application, authorizing and agreeing to the deposit policy. This policy states "This deposit will not be refunded if you don't fully cooperate in or complete the application process, choose to withdraw the application or choose not to close the transaction for any reason."

Our policy is available on our website: https://www.quickenloans.com/about/quicken-loans-deposit and also on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNumQBaCWMM We hope that by providing our deposit policy through a formal disclosure and on the web, our clients will be well aware how the deposit works. We have nothing to hide.

Clayton will not be replying to you via email. You can consider this his response, wherein I will echo what we have communicated several times: our decision has not changed and we will retain your deposit in accordance with the documents you signed.

If you have any further questions, please email me directly: [email protected]

Thanks,

Kelly

I have received no word from this company about my refund. They gave NO SERVICE and still charged me a $500 deposit! They throw it against the wall and if it sticks they keep it. TOTALLY DESPICABLE BUSINESS PRACTICE!  May the company close its doors and all those that scammed us loose their jobs! As usual they lied, Clayton had NO INTENTION of resolving this issue instead he wanted another shot at getting me to refinance.
