As an emoployee here at Quicken Loans, I am truly sorry about your experience. This is not standard practice for us. We currently are the fastest growing mortgage company in the nation and we have gotten there by taking care of our clients. I have to say that no matter what business you are in there are times where things go wrong by your fault or not but the important thing is how the situation is handled. It seems that although you did receive your money in the end, your situation was not handled properly. We do close 11,000 loans per month here and growing. Most of our business is returning clients and their referrals so I would like everyone to thinkk about that and understand that this situation is isolated. Most of the complaints we come across ire things that are actually out of our control. I am glad your situation was resolved, but I apologize for the way it was handled and the headache it caused yourself.

Cyndie, GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!!!!! You stuck to what was right and didn't do the deal and ended up better off for it. I have never dealt with Quicken loans but I see so many folks who have "bad feelings" but go ahead with the deal instead and end up regretting it. Congrads for sticking to your guns and getting things done right. On a side note, good for Quicken that they returned your money - at least they were good enough to do that. Thank you for sharing your experience and being fair with Quicken for updating us about your refund. People like you are what the ROR is about in my eyes.

Could you post that CMO e-mail for the rest of us having problems with Quicken Loans? Thanks.

After googling like a mad woman I was able to find the CMOs email and sent him a copy of my review. He forwarded the email onto the President's admin who researched my claims and assured that Quicken did NOT keep my $500 deposit. Kudos to Quicken for making things right for me. I suggested that she come check out www.ripoffreport.com and see if she can assist any other folks who've suffered like me.
