Qwest & Teleseven aka OAN Services Ripoff! OAN Services is evidently mining QWEST phone numbers and billing over $6 for 1 minute Directory Assistance calls to Las Vegas. I am one victim of this scam. Suspect Las Vegas Internet
Got our QWEST phone bill and attached was a bill from "OAN Services Inc." (www.oanweb.com). The bogus charges amounted to $6.61 for a one minute Directory Assistance call to Las Vegas - supposedly made on a day when everybody in our house was out of town.
The web site is a generic "do-nothing" site with a few links, nothing to do with a Telecommunications service.
The 800 number on the bill is eternally busy during business hours, with a recording after hours.
QWEST has yet (March 22, 2005) to recognize this outfit as a scammer, tho a Google search shows up dozens of reports of exact same charges to "a Las Vegas" number.
