In December 2013 I was invited by phone to a luncheon to hear about a program that would free me of all future maintenance fees associated with my timeshare. The concept was to generate RCI points by selling unused timeshare weeks to business entities. The profit from the points would defray the cost of the maintenance fee as well generate additional revenue. For this I paid R & R Venture Group in excess of $8,000.
I and others were also told to make a cash balance transfer for the money charged to our credit card to one of three credit card companies that would not charge interest 16 months or so. At the time this seemed like a good idea, but now I realize that neither credit card company has a reason to pursue the $8000,. The money which was charged to my credit card was to be repaid no later than November 2013. Alledgelly, the repayment would come from funds generated over time by selling the points.
Excess Property Solutions was to handle the reimbursement. It was never clear what the relationship was between these two busineses, In November 2013 all attempts to reach R & R Ventures or Excess Property Solutions failed. Their phones were continuously busy. Calls made prior to November were never returned and when the phone was answered the responsse was wait until November. The December 203 meeting was attended by a number of other timeshare owners. My salesmlan was a Mr. Mike Finch.,
