I would hate for someone else to fall into the same trap I have with R & S Relocation and Storage. I live in Colorado, and am moving to Georgia. R & S originally contracted a pick up date of July 24, 25, or 26, 2005, to include packing services. I submitted a deposit to them in the amount of $763.22 to ensure my move would take place.

James Nazarian and Larry Balsamo of R & S verbally confirmed a pick up date of Monday, July 25th. Monday morning the movers did not show. I called Larry, and was told he would look into it and let me know ASAP what was going on. An hour later, I called the sales representative, Megan Frederique, and she was able to tell me the driver had a "family issue" and would not be coming to my residence. I was assured a driver would show up Tuesday morning.

Tuesday morning came and went. I placed numerous phone calls, leaving messages with James, Larry, Megan, and the company owner, Daniel Bruce. Three hours later, I finally received a call from James telling me he is "trying to locate the driver". I was assured beyond shadow of doubt the mover would be at my residence Wednesday morning--now outside of the contracted terms. Here it is, Wednesday morning, and I once again left voice messages with Larry, James, Megan, and Daniel. James did indeed call back an hour later to inform me the driver had picked up another load that had been grossly underestimated, and there was no room on the truck for my belongings. So no move for me on Wednesday, either.

I have been assured my deposit will be refunded in full. I also was assured I would have a mover, so we'll see if Small Claims Court will require involvement. At the very least I will lodge a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau--of which R & S is a member. Amusing, isn't it.

I understand life issues and errors can occur, but that is NOT MY PROBLEM. My problem is I will now be at least two weeks delayed in my arrival to Georgia, and will not be able to begin my work there. I may lose wages, my company has lost my productivity for several days, and the stress this unprofessional, disorganized company has caused is ludicrous. I do not need to be "understanding", nor have I any patience left.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not allow yourself to be had by R & S Relocation and Storage!! They are the NO SHOW MOVERS! Go with a bigger name brand.

After doing research on your company Megan, we have discovered that R.S. Relocation is aka American World Van lines aka FC Carolina. Consumers should be advised that all sales associates work from home phones that are forwarded from you 866-305-4992.Your company is a moving broker and after calling REMAX REALTY (which you associate yourself with in the yellow pages)they claim they have nothing to do with your company...more false advertising, more lies.

You say you refunded money immediately. should the public believe that??? You are based in Florida not Texas. Consumers do all your homework before signing with a moving broker.

In response to Jennifer's complaint. Her pick up dates were 7/24/05-7/26/05. Unfortunately, our driver's grandmother had a stroke (believe it or not it is true). We tried to see if we could find one of our neighboring companies to give us a hand and we were unable to do so. We refunded her money 7/27/05 (I felt that was a very quick turn around). These were circumstances beyond our control and we do appologize. But having a "Rip Off Report" is uncalled for. We did not "Rip her Off". She received a full refund and we appologized. Thank you, Megan Frederique
