Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My wife and I have an old house which did not heat evenly in winter. We looked for alternatives. Not having much money, and being very good with tools, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, we looked for systems we could do ourselves. The Radiant Floor Company was one of the places we looked and after talking with them, we were assured over and over again, that they could design a system that would work well in our 1869 New England home.

We purchased their 'kit' and meticulously installed it exactly as the technician explained, It was a very difficult job and not as easy as they said. They kept telling us about the 70 year old women who installed it herself and this made us feel as if we were in competition with an older person.

After installing all the valves, fittings, and sweating pipes and running gas line and electric to the manifold, we turned it on. It did not produce anything that was what they said it was. For weeks, even months we talked with them, but they kept skirting the issue, blaming it on 'massive heat loss' on us not having proper window coverings to things we 'must have done wrong' when installing the system. One of the co-owners said they would make good on it and to not worry. He said he'd talk to his partner about it and get back to us. He never did. I called him back and he acted as if he never said he'd make good on it! I asked they come down and find out what's wrong (all the while we are freezing in our house and I'm disabled) he refused.

The next winter we had to hire an expert to completely gut it all out and install a system that worked. This new installer said that the system they sold us was a joke, and even when he called to talk to them, they refused any helpful information.

By the way, it cost us $40,000.00 to have a new system put in on top of the approximately $9000.00 we had spend already.

Had The Radiant Company stood by their product and helped us make it work, I would not be writing this now, but they were evasive, rude and we want to warn anyone that is considering them for a system to heed our words.
