Ramada Plaza Resorts, FL ripoff...After confirming your trip, it is non-refundable, yet it is not stated...AND what worked for me!! Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33308Fort Lauderdale Florida
A letter was sent to me by first class mail offering cheap accommodations to Florida, a 2 day cruise, and 2 bonus vacations to Las Vegas and Puerto Vallarta at 5 star or "diamond hotels" for 698.00/person. However, when I checked the rates of these hotels that they were offering, these hotels are cheap and not nearly 5 star or "diamond" hotels that they have stated. So I tried to cancel this half hour later and get refunded 698.00, and they told me it was non-refundable. I was furious because in the phone conversation, this WAS NOT STATED. Supposedly this was stated during the verification process of the phone conversation. However, I could not hear the verification rep. at all and I had stated that several times in the conversation, yet her volume did not change.
WHAT WORKED FOR ME!!
However, after doing some research and finding this site. All I did was call the customer service # and demanded a refund by threatening to file a report at FTC.gov., writing a 30 day demand letter, reporting this to my local newspapers, and finally notifying my credit card company, they refunded my 698.00 immediately. They initially said they would pull the tape of the conversation, but I am sketical that my first conversation with them was even recorded because they had given me the refund minutes later.
