Thank you i was not sure i could do that because i did call the credit card company but i must have not asked the right questions. thanks for the advice!

Thanks for answering my question, Berri-Sue, I was honestly confused! I do hope Ramada will perform as they stated, but to ask the credit card company to file a charge-back - in effect, canceling the charge and taking the money paid to Ramada back - might be what you need to do as well. I am not sure if you can do both, ask for a refund they state they will issue, AND file a dispute with the credit card company, but it couldn't hurt to call the credit card company, let them know Ramada has a 'troublesome' history, and ask if they could do a charge-back anyway. i got off the phone with them and called visa right away but they had already taken the money. i actually did get ahold of them today and they will be refunding my credit card within 3-5 days. it took quite a while to get ahold of them but the last person i talked to was really nice and helpful so hopefully everything will go as it should.
