I was on this trip in February 2002. I did not have the extremely bad experience most had, but I did have my problems: No rental car when we got to Alamo, overbooked Hotel, nasty RPR employees. However, I want to let you know that drinks are not included on any cruise ship. My husband and I just cruised with Princess and they charge, too. All of them do. The Imperial Majesty is no exception to this. You really should have known you would have to pay for drinks. Cruise ships are like floating all inclusive resorts. How else are they supposed to make money? Everything else is free! You don't pay for meals, on board activities, or shows. Drinks, boutiques on board, shore excusions, and casinos are where the money comes from. Also, take a look at most older cruse ships and you will find that their swimming pools are similar to that of the Imperial Majesty, and so are their oceanview rooms. The ships did not have balconies back then. It sounds like you were expecting one of the "Super Ships" of today. Think about it, though. Had you ever heard of Imperial Majesty Cruise Lines before? Didn't think so. That should have tipped you off right there. When I saw this cruise line on my itinerary, I knew right away it would not be a Royal Caribbean or Princess type cruise.
