I payed for a vacation package in 2000 from RAMADA PLAZA RESORTS

that I had every intention of taking in april of 2002.However in May of 2001 I had major back surgery I had a spinal fusion of

L-4 and L-5 , and now have two rods and two pins holding my lower back together.

I called ramada plaza resorts and talked to the customer service supervisor Capryce Thompson.I told her everything that happened to me and that because of my severe pain and discomfort it was impossible for me to go on this vacation. She imformed me to mail in a letter from my Doctor stating that I had surgery and she would call me back.

I got the letter from my Doctor stating everything she asked for and sent it in. about 2 weeks later I called for capryce and she would not talk to me she sent a message through the girl that answered the phone that she was busy and would call me back. the same thing happened the next 5 times I called so before hanging up I told the girl on the phone I'm going to call everyday for the rest of my life so you better tell capryce to call me!

The next day I called back and said I was not hanging up until I talked to capryce she finally came to the phone and told me she would call back in an hour. She called back and told me that the director of customer service Robin Water's decided that this was not a special circumstance and I would not get a refund!!!

I told her she would here from me again as I am not going to be able to travel and with all these medical bill's from my surgery I could really use that money at these tuff times for my family!!

I can guarantee they will here from me,my Senator, and probally my lawyer. and thank you for this web page I will make sure they get more bad press than they could ever magine!

PS.IF you haven't taken the trip than they are out zero dollar's. ALL REAL COMPANY'S have special circumstances. beside's it's your God given right to change your mind!! and beside's it's my money not RAMADA"S the ripoff corp.

I went on the vacation - read my horrible experience from begining to end on this site. You cannot possibly even start to believe that the previous to "Wonderful Vacation" stories are true. You must find a bath in a pig hole luxury if you enjoyed yourself on a Ramada Vacation. Again, if they were true to their word why was I refunded $1196. My Attorney General, Florida State Commish of Consumer Affairs along with myself seemed to think I deserved it. Uuumm, and I got my refund within 3 weeks AFTER the hell vacation. Couldn't of been to kosher, huh?

Like the previous responce, i to have taken this promotion package. My family anf i took this vacation in August 2000. We had a great time, nothing negative happened to us.

We did not have to go to the time share conference either due to the fact that we live in California. However we did opt for it because they coordinator of the sales conference said that if we took it we'd get a $100 gift certificate to a really nice Steak House.

Right off the bat we told him that we were not interested, so he made sure that the sales person that we went with also know that we weren't interested.

We did the sales thing and, they treated us nicely, they didn't look at us in a negative way at all. We got our gift certificate to the steak House like we were told, no questions asked. The dinner was great nice place right on the ocean, we even got free desserts.

As for the rest of the our trip, everything was smooth sailing, back then we went on the Big Red Boat. We had an awwsome waiter, great cabin steward, no complaints.

Back in Orlando, we opted to stay an extra 2 nitghts. The Suites/Hotel we were at was clean, spacious, and it had a full service kitchen. So as you see here, the vacation was not as nearly as bad as everyone on here might think. please form your own opinions. We are going again this August.

I to have received a vacation from Ramada, however, unlike many other consumers I took this vacation with my husband and children. I must tell you I didn't have any of the problems stated in these reports.

We had no problem with any of the employees, and had pretty smooth sailing through making our reservations.

Everyone seemed to be very helpful. They told us upfront that this vacation was to promote timeshare, but we were not obligated to purchase. Our trip took us to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and a cruise to the Bahamas.

I believe that people should see for themselves instead of jumping on the bandwagon of negativity. We had a great vacation that many of you will never experience. If you read these articles you will see that 95% of these people never traveled. Well, take it from someone who has! Your missing the boat, go and have a good time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
