Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We received a call from one of their "boiler romm" call centers on Monday, saying we had been selected as a winner of a Ramada Plaza Resorts drawing. It sounds a little different from the rest of the experiences I've read about. We were give choices of the vacation, w/ cruise or a $4,500 cash option. Obviously, my wife was skeptical as the person from the call center was specific in that all we had to do was show up at the Embassy Suites in Grapevine to collect the $4,500.

I called and was told we would not be pitched to buy anything, that yes, we would be given a check for $4,500. Reluctantly I agreed to go, and my wife & I sat in traffic for an hour and arrived at the Hotel and were directed to a conference room, marked BEACHCOMBERS VACATION CLUB -Ramada Plaza Resorts. We were met by a lady with a clip board and asked to provide a credit card and drivers license. I watched to make sure that they did not copy my credit card numbers or in any way run them off and she returned them. We completed her forms and she asked us why were there. We told her to collect our $4,500 and she snickered and said "are't we all?"

Another guy came over and introduced himself as the sales manager and told us while laughing, that they were definately not in the business of giving away $4,500! I just wanted to leave but told him he should be ewmbarrassed to be involved in such a slimy business and he just laughed.

Needless to say we left, but not before telling everyone waiting outside that they should also leave before these knuckleheads took advantage of them Some did. The whole point is...I believe that these crooks have had so much trouble that they are changing their name to BEACHCOMBERS VACATION CLUB..BEWARE!If it looks too good to be true, do not let them convince you that it is. I asked for the manager of the hotel and told him he should be more carefull of the slimy companies that he lets use his meeting rooms!
