Ramada Plaza Resorts ripoff, dishonest, ignorant rip off scam con artists Ft. Lauderdale Florida
I to got suckered into purchasing this package. I recieved a voucher in the mail in Jan of 2000. Curious to know what it was about I called. I told them I could not make a decision like this without speaking to my husband first. They told me I could not call back that if I was interested I had to put $598.00 down now. I put my husband on the phone he listened to what they had to say and thought it sounded ok. So he put the first $598.00 down. It was never explained to my husband or I that this money was non refundable.
After he got off the phone we both where kicking ourselves for giving them our credit card number to do this. I waited for the package info to come in the mail to see how to go about canceling this. In the back of the booklet it say you may cancel this transaction without any penalty or obligation within 3 business days of the above date which was 1/24/00.
Well I recieved the package more than 3 days later than that date. Funny HUH!
To make a very long story short I got the run around by everyone I spoke to. They told me I could not get my $ back but I could have an extension on the package. Thinking that would bid me sometime to figure out what to do that's what I did. Since we put down half the $ on this ripoff I've had 2 children. I called to see if they had an all land package because I did'nt want the children to go on a cruise they aren't old enough. I figured if I had to take this trip I wanted to at least be able to go to Disney. When I called they said yes I could change it to an all land package but I had to put down another $498.00 that day. So stupid me did that.
Resently I was online and I was interested in seeing what the hotel and the rooms looked like at the Ramada. I punched in Ramada Plaza Resorts Ft.Lauderdale/Orlando Vacations and I found this website. I could'nt believe these people have done this to so many other people. Right away that confirmed my suspisions that this was not good from the start. And I now know this is not a vacation I want to take my husband and children on. I wrote them yet another letter demanding my $ back and I still haven't had a response.
I need advice on how to handle this if anyone can help. I'm desperate!!!!!
