This company called me and stated they I won a discounted vacation rate. I then was going to hang up but they stated they were from Ramada suites. I thought well I have stayed at the Ramada before and they were nice and maybe this is ligite. I then purchased this vacation pkg on Sept 2000. I paid 698.00 then and was told I needed to pay the 698.00 balance 30 days before the cruise. I had 18 months to take the cruise.

Time flew by and they called me in Feb 2002 to get a extension on this cruise. I had to pay the other 698.00 to get the extension. I explained to them the reason I had not taken the cruise is because of my kids, and I wanted to change my package to have a cruise with my kids. They mentioned the carnival cruises. I said that would be great. They told me I could go on a carnival cruise with my two kids but instead of paying 99.00 each to add the children I had to pay 359.00 total for my two kids to go. I thought fine.

I called 11/06/02 to verify my reservations were for Feb 24,2003. They said they were but now with carnival with Imperial Majesty and only for me and my husband. If I wanted to go on the carnival cruise with my kids I would have to pay 349.00 per person extra. The manager I spoke to was rude and yelled at me the whole time. I asked for a refund and they stated they would cancel my reservations but I would not get a penny back for the vacation.

Now I have paid 1398.00 for this vacation and have not went on this vacation but I was told I do not deserve a refund. I am going to keep writing to whoever I have to to get this refuned to me. Do not go on this vacation if they call you. It is a ripp off and they are very rude!!!

I had a family member ripped off by this company six months ago for $698. I was able to get a full refund credited to their account. First, we called them spoke with a rep. and stated our case for a refund. Got the usual b.s from them regarding no refund...took down their first name and ext# and recorded this as my first attempt. The second call was to our ATTY General's office who already successfully had a suit against a simliar company who pulled the same sort of vacation scam. His office was more then willing to receive our information and take it from there. Being satisfied that I had my state's atty I decided to send one last letter to the President himself Daniel Lambert at Ramada Resort. I outlined every false truth that was told to my family member over the phone, basically that everything was extra after reading the fine print in their "vacation packet." I also informed them that I already contacted the Atty General's office who was waiting for our information. Well 2 weeks after the letter was sent, my relative received a notice saying the deposit will be credited to their credit card. This was 6 months after the initial call was received about their "free vacation" So you if you have their address handy write them, send it certified and see what happens.(I've also listed address below) Refunds will be granted--again my claim was 6 months after credit card was already charged! Just be specific with your reasons why, and be persistent. Good Luck! It may also help to contact your Atty General and see if others have complained about this company, because it helped in my case. Here's the contact info to write to: Daniel Lambert Vice President Ramada Plaza Resorts 2419 E. Commerical Blvd #100 Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33308 fax# 954-568-3847
