Unjust enrichment for Ramada Plaza Resorts Ripoff; misrepresentation for public - legal issue?
I got into the same pushy phone exchange one year ago. Now I am in the same spot as many who have written to you regarding Ramada Plaza Resorts. I received a letter offering a vacation in Florida and a Cruise for a downpayment of $698 which I charged to my Master Card. I still owe a balance of about $399. Last week, I went on line to see if they had a web site so I could book my trip online hopefully - cuz I did not enjoy talking to them on the phone at all. Of course, I ran into this bad business website and saw all these complaints and now I am afraid to give them any more money. I called their customer service and they refused to refund my money - saying that they are able to keep the money in exchange for "holding our trip" ... when I hadn't even booked any date yet! The rep's name was Henry. I told him I would contact my states attorneys office. Which didn't phase him. I am very nervous. I just want our hard earned money back. I don't feel comfortable giving them more money hoping that the vacation will be good. How can we take such a risk when - according to these other letters they could send me requests for even more money, beyond what I paid and the $399 i still owe? PLEASE HELP. I HAVE TWO SONS IN COLLEGE, MEDICAL BILLS AND I WORK SO HARD RUNNING A DAY CARE CENTER... I CAN'T STAND BY AND LET SOMEONE STEAL LIKE THIS. PLEASE HELP. (SHOULD THERE BE ANY SAFETY IN TAKING THE TRIP (ONCE FOREWARNED WITH THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS... PLEASE TELL ME.)

Here's what I have decided to do, if after my attempts at receiving a refund are futile. I WILL go to Ft. Lauderdale, to the timeshare meeting and be the loudest protester they've ever had. I have already written to Mr.Lambert and let him know my intentions. I will take with me, all of the letters on this website. I will be sure to make it very clear what a RIP OFF the "vacation" actually is.
