Ramada Plaza Resorts ripoff FT Lauderdale Vacations Florida
I purchased the vacation package thinking that this was a great "one time deal". Not True. I initially purchased a package including a cruise, and stays in both Ft Luderdale, and Orlando. This was in October of 2001. After the tradagy of September 11, I was very uncomfortable with flying especially wit my small child. I thought that in light of 9-11 Ramada Plaza Resorts would understand my situation and refund my deposit. Not True. They refused and offered me a smaller less expensive package with and extended travel date. I agreed because I did not want to lose my deposit.
My new travel date was quickly approaching, so I began research on Ramada Plaza Resorts. Page after page of unhappy and often furious customers came up. I decided that I would not give RPR another penny of my money. I made two more attempts to recieve my deposit back, stating that I did not know about the mandatory sales presentations, and other rediculus requirements. I also expained to them that I am expecting another child this year and am unable to travel. They again refused to refund my $349.00. I wrote a letter to thier Vice President Dan Lambert, and have not heard back from RPR.
Not only are they fraudulent in their sales practices, but unwilling to accomidate their customers. They are rude and unwilling to help with the requests of their customers, and very dishonest in their business practices! I basically paid $349.00 for a trip that I will never take. I want my money back! Obviously they would rather me file reports with Consumer Services, the BBB, Florida Attorney General, and the Federal Commission than refund a measly $349.00

No sooner than I posted a Rip Off Report about Ramada Plaza Resorts Vacation package that I purchased in August 2001 (in report I accidently stated date of purchase as October 2001) than I find out through a call to their customer service dept that I will be recieving a full refund of my deposit money! I guess that my letter to V.P. Dan Lambert worked. Lets see if the check actually comes in!!
