Dear Somebody that may help me,

I am the Named Plantiff in a Class Action Lawsuit against Ramada - aka Vira Enterprises. It has been in court for 3 years. My lawyer - pro-bono - advises me to settle for $15,000 - so I could have the money for Christmas. Thank you - BUT NO. Christmas isnt about money anyway. I want my day in court - I dont care if I win or lose. ANTHING I win, God Willing, will be donated to worthy and needy Christian Charities.

I want my day in Court! These Heathens fired me while I was in Labor with our firstborn son, JonMichael. They said I couldn't do my job anymore because I was having a child.

This company is owned/operated by Rajiv Anand- ( he INVENTED duct tape) - his wife, Vinita Anand ( a Kidney Doctor in Nashville, Tennessee) and Bipin Shaw ( their accountant from England / Africa).

My lawyer said that we want to hurry up and settle this case because Vira might go backrupt. Vira Enterprises is currently involved in a lawsuit with AmSouth Bank for half a million dollars. Vira is also being sued by the Ramada Franchise for nearly another half million.

NO AMOUNT of MONEY will be able to LESSEN THE PAIN!

I want my day in court. I will be happy to prove to the Judge and Jury and God and Everybody that I worked 60-80 hours a week for 3 years with NO OVERTIME PAY! Dr. Vinata Anand said I was a Manager and exempt from overtime. Not to mention the fact that I have computer generated time cards to prove this.

I also have a time card/ pay stub records for the Mexican Family that worked at the hotel. In one 2-week period, Perfecto was paid for 217 hours at $7.00 per hour.

Vira Enterprises is so guilty of SO many crimes as they pertain to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Court is November 30, 2005.

My lawyer is doing a REAL lousy job - he didnt even tell me when they were deposed so I could not attend.

However, I was their for the 16 hours of deposition that I had to endure at the hands of THIER two lawyers.

This wnt to mediations in April, The mediator said that a Jury wont believe that I worked that many hours.

I CAN PROVE THIS WITHOUT A SHADOW OF A DOUBT. And if you dont believe me, take a gander at the 200+ handwritten testamonies from my guests that stayed with us at the Ramada in Franklin, TN.

Please advise or comment - HELP ME TO FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.

Angela and Robin attended church services in this Ramada's Conference Room on Sunday mornings with our Church group. Being a small group, we knew Angela well. She praised her employers, the Anand's, said she loved working at the Ramada & enjoyed working for them. She was thrilled when they gave her a furnished apt with full amenities in the hotel, all-free of charge. In the early part of her pregnancy, she told us how blessed she was, as the Anand's had offered her lots of options with her schedule, during and after pregnancy (she had no baby sitting in place),just to assist her, in any way possible. They were allowing her to place a crib in the back-office, so she could watch-over the baby at work. And best of all -to quote her own words, she said she would have 'complete flexibility to CHOOSE the hours I want to work!' She told us often, how lucky she was to have such caring employers; they helped her with her work while she struggled with health issues all thru' her pregnancy. Especially in the last 3 months, she was hardly able to work her hours, due to many health complications. The Anand's stood by her, how much she appreciated that. After JonMichael was born, she & Maurice brought him for church service on Sundays. We remember a pot-lunch we had before Christmas, when we gathered around the baby to bless his first Christmas. She took us to her apartment #222 and proudly showed us the set-up, saying it was ideal for them. We're a happy family, she said. She spoke highly of Raj & Vinita's kindness- they had given her cash for maternity, way in advance. We agreed that they were really good folks. They are good to us & everyone around. The TRUTH is: -Angela most definitely had NO grievances against her employers, while she worked for them. So, we are shocked to read this report where ANGELA has said LIES in every sentence.....eg: - QUOTE "These Heathens fired me while I was in Labor with our firstborn son, JonMichael. They said I couldn't do my job anymore because I was having a child." UNQUOTE....This is such LIES. First of all, Angela was NEVER fired. She was EMPLOYED & LIVED for FREE at the Ramada, during the full duration of her pregnancy AND continued for several weeks after her son was born. She never returned to her job after giving birth, but, continued to use all the benefits that came with her employment,i.e. the free apartment / amenities for well over 2 months after. And, she did this knowingly- all along she had no intentions of returning to her job. Her employers were not aware of this misuse!! SHE QUIT AND LEFT the apt only after her son was over 2 months old. And, she left without giving any official notice, not even a phone call. Message for plaintiffs Angela & Robin: You know, just as we do, that the Anand's were EXTORTED out of a large sum of money that you have already received as a settlement; you know this was grossly unfair to them (they did not owe you a penny), yet they paid out. However, that making these false and jealous remarks on the WORLD WIDE WEB, in an attempt at CHARACHTER DEFAMATION of citizens like Dr. Vinita Anand M.D. and Raj Anand (Chemical engineer,Scientist)is a crime. Angela & Robin be prepared to face the consequences of this foolish action in Federal Court. AW, DM and S.Williams

Hello Angel, You may not remember me, I worked a short time at Ramada, mostly when you were off. Last nite, a friend who knew I had worked with you at Ramada, told me to get on this web-site.(he works at a motel there on hwy 96). My message-I want to wish you good luck. Long ago, your lawyer Mr.Martin Holmes sent me a letter to join your case. I myself, did not have any problems with Ramada or with Steve or you. I hardly even saw the Anoids, let alone know them , so I wrote him I cannot join. With me, Steve was always was super prompt with the checks and never one penny less (you know Smart Steve, so good at his math. And certainly I had no problems with paychecks. Oh Never!. With me, That's a BIG No-No, nobody don't mess with my paycheck, no siree, because the very first time that you do, I will have you fix-it there and then, if not, I WILL QUITwalk-out.. there are so many jobs out there.on that Hwy 96 alone, so many motels to go find me another job. Next, I will write a complaint to Labor Dept, get my money back from you and never work for you again. End of chapter. And, dear, that is what the labor guys tell you, Contact Us the first time your manager shorts you. You also seemed so happy working at Ramada.. I was surprised to learn you sued them. Sometimes, I had heard about your problems , like your own personal money problems with your loans and Maurice's child supports for his kids, this was taking all the money away and how you guys had had no-where to live till Steve gave you a room. But none of us knew you had any problems with Ramada. I have seen Steve, he was kind to you and all of us, he gave cash advance and you were many times asking for cash for sales, he always helped. So, dear, what went wrong?. Another co-worker (also a good friend of mine) got your lawyer's letter in the same week as me. She too could not join, in fact, Maurice had asked her to join months before the letter, saying she had nothing to lose, he said she could not be caught as 'lies is hard to prove', that she would make some easy money instead. She told me she had no grievance against Ramada and was weary of lying. I talked with her (she will also write on this web-site next week).we agree that these lawsuits are good only for the lawyers. Lawyers promise to get you big money in settlements and you are correct, they do force people into bankruptcy too. All this to make some money, but mostly the money is for themself. Now, we hear that you are winning this 15000 money, but you are unhappy with your poro a bono lawyer. Is it still Martin Homes or have you changed to someone else? Are you going to change your lawyer again? I see lawyers adds all the time on local channels, some lawyers will take any case true or false with no charges to you, they scam the other guys for the fees. But still be careful with lawyers using this site to represent your case. I hope all goes well for you. I am sorry I did not know of this earlier on, like I said, we never did know you had any issues. I would like to meet you, I do not have your tel or address, someone said you are living with Maurice's mom and sisters in a motel room in Columbia now. You posted on 11/15/2004 that you were offered a settlement of $15000. You were not happy with the amount -it appears you wished for a larger amount to give to Christian Charities. Therefore, presumably you took the option of going to court on 11/30/2004 instead of first option of out-of-court settlement. Please advise the outcome of your day in court; did the judge and jury allow a larger or different amount?. $15000 itself is no trivial amount and will be welcomed by any charitable organization; in fact, you will be surprised how this kind of donation can impact a large number of people in a positive way. And, if you wish to extend your arm to aiding Tsunami victims, THIS IS THE TIME to do it. I am involved in charitable work and will be happy to assist you in any possible way. Often, I meet people who so much want to give, but simply do not know how to go about it.

Before you make a comment on this invaluable website which is visited by professionals & holds hope for millions of people, spend a few minutes to educate yourself on some basic facts. I work in the medical field. Mr. Anonymous' assumes that a 'kidney doctor' cannot prescribe cold medication. Well, Mr. Anonymous is grossly lacking in knowledge here. A 'kidney doctor' is a credentialed 'MD' known as a Nephrologist and is specialized in Internal Medicine. Their skill set & information levels surpass your General Practioner/Family Physician by ten-fold. (Internists are doctors for adults. Their responsibilities include heath maintenance & disease screening, the diagnosis & care of acute & chronic medical conditions, management of patients with multiple, complex medical problems, and serving as consultants to other disciplines such as surgery, obstetrics & family medicine. General internal medicine requires 3 years of accredited training following medical school. The 3 years of training must include 30 months of internal medicine rotations in general internal medicine, subspecialty internal medicine, critical care medicine, geriatric and emergency medicine. The 30 months may include up to 4 months of non-internal medicine primary skill areas such as dermatology, neurology, and office gynecology). Nephrologists are highly intelligent, highly skilled and very highly educated individuals. Their in-depth knowledge & expertise is often the reason a very sick human continues to live. Formal training of physicians is divided into three phases: premedical education, medical school, and graduate medical education. In internal medicine, the requisite part of graduate medical education is a three-year residency program. Following successful completion of residency training, the graduate may begin practice as a general internist or may choose to train further in one of the subspecialties of internal medicine. Angel, I was also employed by Ramada, Franklin when you worked there. I am appalled at what you have stated. You know as well as I do, that, the above allegations are completely false. Raj & Vinita Anand are the kindest and most fair people that I have ever met. I was always paid my wages appropriately and always on time. Many times, I had witnessed you turning in your time records' for sales-calls' and than you would receive a check or cash. Moreover, you were always writing-in your time with a pen on the time-cards (not clocking in the time-machine like the rest of us). Time and again, you would falsely add several extra hours to your time card as hours worked ..and you got away with it. You also ripped the Ramada off by falsifying the number of hours you said you went on sales calls, when you were actually going out with Maurice either shopping, bowling or restaurants. Yet, you got paid for all the false hours you turned-in !!1 Wow, you became really good at this scam !!!! You lived in the hotel, in a fully furnished Jacuzzi Suite (all amenities included) for over 2 years, for less than $200 a month. So, you saved at least $800 per month in rent, utilities, cable, telephone, water, toiletries and laundry service, not to say the hundreds you saved on gas!!!! I also know that you were in a lot of debt; I personally answered calls from collection agencies & Board of education for defaulting on your student loan. I often saw the mail that came for you from collectors etc. My advice to you is to work hard, actually EARN your paycheck and then, pay back your debts with your EARNED money, instead of, fraudulently suing and ripping off your ex-employers to settle your debts. You have doubly sinned..you ripped them off when you were employed by turning-in false time, and, ripped them off again afterwards with a false case. Shame on you, Angel..and, Lord have Mercy you are calling yourself a Christian' ???????????????.pray to Him for mercy.. I am amazed that you are not settling for $15,000 (FRee money?).you were not owed a single penny by Ramada/ Vira..in fact, YOU owe them money for all the bogus hours you claimed and received payment for, for the rent you owed for staying at the hotel so cheap, for staying free' in the Manager's Apartment. You are referring to courtI am not afraid to stand before the Judge, Jury and youI will reveal all your lies and scams. I am in touch with other employees..I am encouraging them to write their opinions on this site.let the truth come out. I also know current Ramada employees, they say wonderful things about the Anands. Angel, frankly what you have doneis very DESPICABLE and IMMORAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angela, i too am an ex-employee of this hotel and when i was told by Vinita that we would be questioned by the labor board for unpaid overtime and they would be audited, i was advised to lie and say that i was payed "i was apalled" but because i liked my job, and needed the income i did as i was requested by her. i was a nervous wreck sitting in the conference room while i was being interrigated. After the rep from the labor board left, i was handed a check in the sum of 201.00 from Rajiv (her husband, the man who invented duct tape) and in the space where you would normally put what the check is for "water bill, mortgage payment, happy birthday" Bonus was typed in "so they couldnt track that it was actually unpaid wages. i also have to add that Dr. Vinita Anand ( a kidney specialist) would falsley call in medical prescriptions if one of us employees had a sore throat or a cold or even sinus problems...why would she do this if she was a kidney doctor. i will add more to this rebuttal about the 2 men these 2 indians so-called leased the hotel out and scammed me out of 1100.00 of unpaided wages and have yet to see any of this money from bounced paychecks. thank you angela for this report
