My husband got the 3 day trial, and it was terrible. The following month, there was a charge to our credit card, but I had ordered a book for about that amount, so figured it was that. Then the next month, I noticed the charge on there. This has continued every month for 4 months now. I have emailed them, but to no avail. Luckily we use a prepaid credit card for internet purchases, so we just won't load any money on the card.

When someone makes a purchase on our website they can not continue with their purchase until they put a check mark in the box that they have read and understand the terms and conditions. Please re-visit http://www.web-detective.com/order.aspx the site you ordered from originally. Please note we do clearly state on that page the following information: Payment Information Both trial memberships and monthly memberships are recurring memberships. If you don't cancel a trial membership within the 3-day trial period, or a monthly membership before the end of the current month, you will be billed $39.95 for each month that you continue your membership. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time to discontinue the membership and stop the monthly billing immediately; however, you will not be eligible for a pro-rated refund of your current month's paid membership fee. Also on the receipt that is sent out after purchase it states the charge will be $39.95 monthly/indefinitely and last in the confirmation email that is sent out with your access information we state: Please remember that all 3-day trial memberships as well as MONTHLY memberships are recurring in nature and we assume you want to continue using your membership unless otherwise notified. On our order page we clearly outline that "3-day trials recur at $39.95 unless canceled. Monthly memberships recur unless canceled." Not only do we provide all of the above information but we do also provide an email address: [email protected] we do also have a 1-800 number for customers to call. As you can see we do provide ample information about the billing nature of the product you are purchasing as well as many avenues to choose from to cancel within the three day time frame. Thank you.

Hi, maybe you should just get a new prepaid debit card and get rid of the old one that they keep trying to charge you for the service you don't want or asked for. I don't know if there is anyway to do a reversal of charges on a prepaid debit card or not. I know on a bank debit card your bank could do a reversal of unauthorized charges, but not sure if anything can be done on a prepaid debit card. There are lots of companys you can get prepaid debit cards thru so you might be better off in just getting a new prepaid debit card. Most stores anymore have a rack of different prepaid cards you can buy, but make sure you get one that you can put more funds on later, sometimes the prepaid cards are just a one time deal for the amount you put on it at the time you purchase it. and also there is wiredplastic.com which has a good service. i have used them for a few years with no problems. Western Union also has a prepaid debit card service thru them. hope this info can help you out.
