Maybe all I got to go on as a bystander is gut reaction, but my gut tells me the OP is on the level and the company took advantage of her.
That said, to the OP, ma'am, you did sort of contradict yourself, originally stating you never signed or agreed to anything, whereas later on in rebuttal you admit having signed something, although you feel it was not pre approval.
Bottom line, y'all got to read things before you sign them, because regardless of my conviction that they did take advantage of you, evidently you signed something that they can show a judge, should it come to that, that indicates you pre approved the work they did and the estimate.
Of course, maybe whatever you signed isn't that clear cut and they could be bluffing, but they probably aren't.
Never go for these ultra cheap coupon services anywhere. Even if you don't get ripped for extras, you'll get the worst, cheapest bulk oil put in your car.

First of all when I asked to speak to you why didn't you come out and talk to me directly? Second, I would never have agreed to any extra charges because I was using an $18.88 coupon for an oil change only. I also was told by Mr. Ruiz that he was going to CALL ME at lunchtime to go over any work that needed to be done. NEVER CALLED ME AND ASKED ME FOR PERMISSION TO PERFORM ANY EXTRA WORK.
All businesses call before work is done to confirm its o.k. Your business tricks people into thinking that even though you have all the jobs listed on the invoice they won't be done until you call them and get their o.k. Thats what I signed. . My car is now making a noise when I first start it that it never had before, and I'm only getting 13 miles to the gallon with your fuel service charge of $159.95. Why would I agree to a 30,000 mile service with only 27,000 miles on my car? Why would I agree to pay $86 for you guys to clean off my battery terminal when you guys replaced it? $25 for transmission fluid? Over $50 for antifreeze? I can do all those things myself but you took it upon yourself to rip me off. I will not stop until you refund my money. Margaret Porter and you can get ahold of me with my refund!!!

As the Service Manager of Razzari Dodge, I was dissappointed to hear about Ms. Porter's dissatisfaction with her service at Razzari Dodge. I was very concerned about her allegations that work was performed without prior authorization. I did investigate the claim and found that the services performed were spelled out on the initial repair order, an initial estimate of those services was given of 799.95, and that estimate was signed before any services were performed. The final bill was ~$720.00 well below the initial estimate.
I would be happy to discuss this further and I can be reached at 209-354-2301.

I took my 2008 PT cruiser into Razzari Ford in Merced, CA for an $18.88 oil change. When I returned at the end of the day my bill was $799.00. Razzari performed a 30,000 mile manitence on a 27,000 mile car without my permission. Now my brakes squeak and I am now only getting 13 miles to the gallon. I sent a complaint to the Automotive Bureau of repair and they didn't find anything wrong with this. The gentlemen who did this report said when he walked into Razzari the manager was waiting for him with my file on his desk. He said he knew the manager from before, meaning he had been in there before for a complaint and did nothing. So I will now seek legal help and sue. I truly think that businesses now are being ran by incompetent and lazy people who either don't know how to do their job or they don't want to do their job. Nothing more frustrating than a company who deliberately rips you off.
