Please find below copy of an e-mail I sent to "Easier Rebates" in regards to my claim. I went to Office Max to purchase a computer monitor on 5th March. I chose the Logisys model because there was a mail-in rebate, which, after receiving the rebate, was more cost effective than the other models I was looking at. I submitted the details, receipt (and UPC code from the box) and mailed them to "Easier Rebates" (they obviously received - see below).
I duly waited the six weeks (as per the understanding), and after I did not hearanything, decided to investigate. To date, even after sending the e-mail below. I have not received ANY response whatsoever. I can't help wondering whether this is also a "ploy" by the manufacturing companies (in this case Logisys) just to get you to buy their product. It is not only the amount, it is the principle involved. I will keep you posted of any updates.

On the 5th March, 2003 I purchased the LOgisys LGX 710 Monitor from Office
Max.
I sent the rebate claim to you on 7th March, 2003, and to date have not
received anything.
I went to your website, and it came up with :-

Rebate Check: $40.00
Documents Received: Not yet
Reward Mailed: Not yet
There are errors on you claim submission:
The wrong UPC (bar code) was sent in.
PO Boxes are not allowed as specified by the manufacturer. Please send us a
physical address for mailing purposes so we may process your rebate. You may
send it to the address below or email it to us at
[email protected]
Firstly, I SENT the bar code from the box with my submisssion.
Secondly, my physical address is as follows:-

(Here I entered my mailing address once again)
I await your response and rebate cheque for US 40.00 accordingly (unless I
hear from you within the next 48 hours, I reserve the right to take further
action on my rebate claim).
