I purchased three 1 GB SD cards from Linkyo Corp (http://www.supermediastore.com) on 11/23/2007 and there was a rebate for purchasing three. The rebate is handled by rebatestatus.com (a.k.a. Continental Promotion Group, Inc.). I noticed that after quite a while rebatestatus.com wasn't even showing hey got my rebate form, so I contacted them and provided all of the information about my rebate along with copies/scans of my completed rebate submission form. After that, my rebate suddenly appeared on the website. It read that my rebate would be expected to be sent out near the end of February, 2008 (nearly three months/18 weeks instead of 6-8 weeks like normal). Then in February they send me an email saying they had to review my rebate for accuracy and that it wouldn't be ready to go out until the end of April, 2008 - about 5 months from my original purchase!!! (and that's if they don't give me some nonsense excuse again). From what I've read from others on the internet, this doesn't sound like a unique event. I am supremely interested in forming a class-action suit and if anyone else has had a similar experience with this company, please post here and let me know and also let me know if you'd like to participate in a class-action suit against this company. It's time these rebate companies stop walking all over trusting consumers! It's time we consumers take a stand.

First off I must say that if we did not receive your rebate by mail, you should be talking to your Post Office as we have no control as to what gets delivered and was does not. Secondly: you talk about the processing time being 6-8 weeks which is correct and that is from the date we receive your rebate. So if you mailed your rebate for example on January 3rd, 2008 and we did not receive it until February 3rd, 2008 because of delays in the Post Office then your processing time starts on February 3rd, 2008. What you have read about us on the internet is about a bunch of idiots who have nothing better to do and probably give up once we send them a letter or email saying somethings wrong but if they provide what is needed it can be fixed, but some people just think not to respond for the rebate to be processed. We are a rebate center, we are not a rip off center and nothing close to that. When people are denied their rebate they get another chance we do not just blaintely come out and say "you are not getting your rebate", we send you an email if it was included with your rebate submission as well as a non compliance notice by mail to explain what we need. ALL rebate forms indicate to keep copies of your submission, if you do not do that and something happens that we are missing something its your fault for not keeping a copy. Once your information is entered into our system we place your rebate mail with the millions of others out in the warehouse which we do not have access to once entered into the system. It is up to you the consumer to keep copies of your submission, and also if there is something wrong we are open Monday- Friday 8am-8pm Eastern Standard time for you to call if you need ask what is the problem or why your rebate is not showing online, etc. So instead of bashing the rebate center why do you not call us and talk to one of our representatives for an explanation because I could careless what these so called websites claim that you have read because we are not scammers.
