Complaint Review: RECHERCHE GOLDENS - Vinton Internet

As an owner of a fine Recherché female golden retriever, I take exception to this clearly fraudulent report. Jamal and Charity Hamka strive to breed healthy animals and have never been unresponsive to our requests for information. Indeed, we will return to them for a second golden because of the positive experience with our first adoption in 2010. Our golden is healthy, intelligent, and was matched well by Recherche to our circumstances and lifestyle. Yes, we are pleased owners, and I find it disheartening that an individual can be accused by an anonymous source of behaviors that are unsubstantiated. I must wonder why frivolous accusations are not removed when evidence is non-existent.

 Before choosing my Breeder, I did extensive research on Golden Retrievers and narrowed down my search to just English Golder Retrievers because they have an overall better health record than the American Goldens (less cancer, few hip problems, etc.).

When I read about Rechersche Goldens, I was very impressed. I ultimately chose them as my breeder. During the process of waiting for my litter, I received frequent updates from the breeder...then at the birth, I received photos of the litter and updates on how they were doing. When they visited the Vet I received a report on what was done and how their health status was. And every week there were more pictures. This breeder cares for the pupies in his home and socializes the puppies with his own children. He also does some early toilet training. I spoke with Jamel on the phone to discuss my wishes for our pup's temperment/personality; he was very helpful in determining the best match for my family. Based on the order of deposits on the litter, I had 2nd pick. I followed Jamel's advice and could not have been more pleased with the pick. Today our dog is 3 yrs. old and is the envy of the neighborhood. She is the best behaved dog; she loves people and is very sweet, mild mannered and obedient. She does enjoy playing with other dogs, but it is clear that she prefers the attention of people. She is the best dog ever. I definitely would by from this breeder again. When I heard about this ripoffreport site and the story that was posted about Rescherche Goldens, I just had to put my 2 cents in...to know this breeder is to love him; he is a man of kindness and intregrity and is very respective of everyone. The only reason for someone to write this kind of thing is to try to gain something for themselves--it is wrong! The story is absolutly false. If there were ever a puppy that had health problems, the guarantee would cover such a loss. In fact I remember that Jamel, wanting only the best for his puppies, offers to double the guarantee if you will promise to give your dog the recommended vitamins which he starts them on when they begin eating solid food. He really wants them to stay as healthy as they are the day you receive them. My Vet was very impressed and continues to be impressed with my sweet Roxie! I am sure she will live a long healthy, happy life.

This claim is completely unfounded!  Recherche raises exceptional English Cream Golden Retrievers.  We purchased two puppies and also visited the site.  The dogs are in great facilities, are clean and well managed, and well fed.  The puppies we bought were 12 weeks old.  They were in excellent health, had all of their vet visits and papers and were pre-trained.  At 12 weeks, they knew basic commands, were crate trained, and nearly house trained.  Jamel and Charity are warm and caring people - their dogs are evidence of that.  They actually request that the dogs receive vitamins and are fed the most healthful food after they leave Recherche!  Jamel was wonderfully responsive to us, answered all of our questions, and professionally provided us with two fabulous family members.  Our vet was impressed with the level of attention they received before coming to us.  They are now 6 months old and have proven to be intelligent, healthy and sweet.  I can not say enough good things about Recherche and Jamel and Charity Hamka!  I would be happy to be a reference for them.  Everyone who sees our dogs wants one!!

I was suspicious that the writer of this report was possibly competition...particularly someone that breeds American Golden Retrievers and has a hatred for the English Creme Golden Retriever. I then did a lot of research and started searching for reports written on other English Creme Golden Retriever breeders in the US and this 2 other reports were what I found.

Notice that each report is written almost WORD FOR WORD, and PUNCTUATION FOR PUNCTUATION! They were all written by a "Concerned Buyer" in "Boston, MA." It's obviously a false report meant to do harm to ethical breeders of the English Creme Golden Retriever!

Rip Off Report....REMOVE THESE!!!!! IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU ARE THE RIP OFF!!!

Recherche Goldens have only had 2 litters of Goldens at the writing of this report. One litter was only 7 weeks old and the other was 11 weeks old at the time of this report. I have contacted all buyers and every buyer has denied knowing anything about this report. It is IMPOSSIBLE to have had a puppy die at 12 weeks old when we never had a puppy at 12 weeks old at the time of this report. Also, we have a warranty that you can read below that clearly states we cover the puppy 100% if they died of any genetic defects...and a liver stunt problem is a genetic defect!

Notice also that the author left themselves anonymous. Every buyer gets a signed copy of the contract as well as their AKC limited registration papers. All of our pups have been registered and named with the AKC. I challenge the author (who will get email notification of this rebuttal) to post a signed contract and the AKC paperwork with the dog's name.

It's IMPOSSIBLE because this was written by either a lawyer trying to get me to pay him to take this off, a jealous breeder OR a customer that I have turned down. We do not sell to anyone willing to pay, so we do graciously decline our puppies to homes that we think would not make a great home (example: someone wanting to breed without any knowledge of how to breed).

First of all, I never sold a puppy to anybody in the state of MA. Secondly, I have never received any email OUTSIDE of a "Robert Adams" of Search Engine Reputation Management (SERM) notifying me of this negative report and trying to sell services to me. I believe wholeheartedly that this "Robert Adams" made this report to try to con me and it's very disheartening that RipOff Report doesn't allow me to contest this unbelievable claim. If the poster of the negative report is not Robert Adams then please post a copy of the 2 year warranty that we signed. Please also provide copies of the vet bills and vet records. The truth is that there is absolutely no truth to this report. If you want more proof then contact me and I can give you the names of every buyer that purchased my only litter produced and EVERY buyer will give a good reference. If this was true then I should see this person in court.

NOW TO RIP OFF REPORT:
I am a fan of the consumer. I believe that it is acceptable to have an avenue to make complaints against companies that have ripped you off. On the other hand, not to give the business an opportunity to CONTEST the validity of the report and to remove the report that is proven to be false is completely IRRESPONSIBLE. I am a new business and negative reports like this can cause unbelievable harm. I can prove to anyone very easily that this report is false.
