We called recommendedlocksmith.com at 7pm on a Wednesday night as our deadbold on our front door would not turn. I called their 888 number after googling locksmith in the Summerlin, NV area. The lady who answered didn't speak very good English or understand it either but that is not what upset me, she was rude and actually said, "You didn't let me finish." This was in response to me asking her how much they charged for a service call of our type of issue and I responded, " okay" to the $10.00 charge. Well apparently I wasn't to respond until she was done lying to me!

A guy comes out, who is pissed off at life it seems. He is not friendly and tried to do a few things to our door to see if it opens. He thens asks me if I'm using the right key! Really? No, I have been standing outside my house for an hour using two house keys that are really not my house keys!

So, he says he has to drill the lock out and we ask how much, he says, um, $130 and if we want him to replace the lock so we can lock our door at night, it will be another $150. Now, we know this is ridiculous but what are we to do, we need in our house. So, we ask if they take Visa/Debit, etc, which their super shady website clearly states they do. He replies, "No" cash or check. Mind you, their website says they don't take checks!

He gets our door done, we start to write a check and he then he changes his mind and says he will only take cash! We say, we don't have the amount you quoted in cash, which he replies, well, if you get me cash, I will take off the tax and give you a discount! So, now we owe $250!! My husband says he needs to go to the ATM and the door guy so "kindly" offers to follow him to the ATM to get the cash!

We were so pissed, this is a complete, unethical business. I called the next morning (today) and described my situation to the guy on the phone, who could care less, just kept trying to tell me their credit card machine must have been down yesterday! Really???? He then asks me how much we paid him and when I told him, the line went silent, that was the only thing that seemed to get his attention!

Do not use this company! There are many other good ones who are licensed and honest and it's people like this that ruin the industry. Had I had time to read this companies website, I would have realized how awful it was. Their testimonials and anything written on their site has horrible grammer and looks completely shady and fake!! First red flag!
