Before learning there was a fee involved, they ask you to search for a "surname", which I did and there were several matches found. All I had to do to see these matches was to join the membership for the sum of 34.89. It promises all sorts of information including prison inmate records, birth records, death records, etc. I thought I would give it a try because it looked very legit. The minute they got my money, I couldn't get a match on any one living much less dead.
I have a nephew in prison and I just thought I would try his name for an example. Guess what...No Matches found.
It is totally bogus and I wrote to the so called support people and told them exactly what I thought of their deceit and as of today, have not heard a word from them.
I guess I'm just out the 34.89 and it may not seem like a lot of money, but when you are on a fixed income, it hurts.
I hope something can be done to these people as they are thieves in every sense of the word. They are cowards who prey on trusting people and give the internet a very bad name. It will be awhile before I trust anything I see regarding people searches or anything else for that matter.
