On 3/15/06 I took my 17-year-old daughter's computer which was built by red seven computers in phoenix AZ., back in for service. After a couple of days I was informed that the motherboard had failed and needed to be replaced. I authorized the work and was given an estimate of $175.00 and a completion date of 4-5 business days.
The next three weeks turned into a never-ending string of excuses. After being advised Fri. 3/31/06 that my computer was not even at the phoenix location anymore I lost it. I was advised I could just take my business elsewhere.
After returning my computer from the Tempe location to Phoenix I was finally able to recover it on Mon. 4/3/06. My complaints were met with nothing more than disregard and an atmosphere of total arrogance by management.
I took the unit directly to (competitor's name deleted - see below) in Phoenix. After checking it out their service tech advised me that the motherboard was in fact bad. He also advised me that the processor had been fried and that the memory strip was missing.
After examination of the data on the hard drive it was determined that the drive was in no way damaged however, large blocks of data had been deleted. This included all of my daughters documents (all of her class work at Scottsdale community college) thousands of pictures that had not been backed up and three years worth of music downloads.
It is my opinion that these deletions were done by a vindictive employee buy the name of Todd at red seven. This drive has been sent to a data recovery service in California to determine the exact time and date of the data modification/deletion.
If it is proven that the deletion occurred while the hard drive was in the control of red seven, I intend to file suit. I would appreciate any input from others who have experienced these unprofessional and juvenile antics while attempting to do business with these clowns.
