After realizing that I had a number of charges being made to my Regions bank account, I contacted the bank to ask them who drafted 290.00 dollars from my account. I did not get an answer. I had to wait until I got my statement to see that is was a payday loan company called Payday yes. I had done business with them at one time but the loan was paid in full months ago. I asked the bank to place a hold on the account or deny any drafts from Payday yes but I was ignored. The payday loan company went on to draft my account 230.00 then again 200.00 in November. I also had other unexplained drafts to my Regions account.

I asked them to close the account, let them know I was no longer using the account, etc. They continued to charge me 33.00 fees and allow debit card drafts to go through. I paid the account in full twice now , but they still are unwillling to close the account. They even said, that I could not do anything unless there were no charges made to the account in the next 24 hours. So, all I can do is hope that the people who are using my account number do not decide to use it today. I have not used the account since October.

I would think that they could place a hold on questionable drafts and call me to see if I had made the charge. But, no they just charge a fee of 33.00 , and expect me to come in a pay them. I paid 365.00 today for charges I did not make. Regions Bank can be trusted to help customers.

I bank with RBCentura which gave me simular problems. We finally got good results by going to the bank in person, and telling them maybe we need to take our money out of the bank if they can't get it right. They got it right and are very helpful now. Just don't try and handle it over the phone.
