Charlie Newman/Chuck Newman, used various different phone numbers, e-mails and names when I was looking for an apartment in New York Citys Upper Westside/Harlem Morningside.
I responded to a few listings that Chuck Newman posted on Craigslist. He lied in his listings by putting his adds in the APARTMENTS BY OWNERS Section. I was unaware of this fact until I the closing (by that time the month was almost up & me and my girlfriend had to leave, because our lease was up).
After spending a few days with Chuck Newman looking for apartments (by the way he stunk of marijuana and so did his vehicle) again we were pressed on time we decided to put in an offer.
Later that evening when I received an email from Charlie/Chuck Newman (what a disgusting sleazebag, with beady-eyes) stating that I would have to pay $700 dollars to apply for the unit. $100 for each credit check, $200 for lease preperation and $300 for management preperation. He also stated in his email that the monies would be taken off my first month rent if we were approved and closed on the apartment.
This Animal must have smelled desperation on us, because we told him that we had to be out of our apartment at the end of the month when we initially spoke. Out of desperation we ended up taking the apartment.
They were supposed to add a dishwasher,washer and dryer to the unit. Of course they did not!
THEY NEVER TOOK THE $700 OFF OUR FIRST MONTH OF RENT.
I have to this day never met anyone lower then Chuck/Charlie Newman and Reliance Realty!
RENTORS STAY AWAY FROM THIS NO GOODER, LIAR AND SHELL OF A HUMAN BEING!

The Post is FALSE and DEFAMATORY. The Author is a COMPETITOR NOT a CLIENT.
As per Ripoff Reports instructions. (Step 1. Post Rebuttal to notify Author). I have retained the Law Office of Herrick Feinstein, LLP. Avery Mehlman will represent me in this matter. I have begun the process for issuing a Subpoena for Author information. I will initiate a Court Proceeding in an effort to learn your Identity. (Step 2. "Wait a reasonable amount of time for Author to respond"). My offer is the following: I will wait until Monday July 6, 2014 for you to remove the Post in its entirety. If the post is removed I will NOT pursue your identity or make any claims against you or your Firm. If the Post is Not removed I will have no choice, I WILL pursue your identity and hold you liable for damages.
The First Amendment right to free speech includes the right to remain anonymous, but does not protect statements which are false, defamatory and slanderous!
