 this started around the 12th of Dec when a rep call about switching electric company saying lower rates( which is not true when all the other stuff they include) so I switched. but when I got my final bill from Just Energy saying I was still under their contract and was supose to pay a large bill I called Reliant elect. and spoke to the rep and explain this and that I wanted them to switch me back and was told there was no problem to do this . He did mention something about move out and that I needed to call Just Energy to get them to switch me back so I did .  then on Dec 21 2012 when I got home from my temp job I had no electicity ; so I called Reliant ( this was at 4:00 PM Friday) and was told they would do a prioty light out( which I was told later on turn my elect. back on but that it would take 24-48 hr.) but at the time I was told it should be on by 9:30 that night and to call back then if not turn on. when I did that is when I was told 24-48hr. so on Sat I called and was told 48 hr which is Sunday. I kept telling them  about my food was going to be ruined . then On Sunday I called and spoke to a supervisor and told her again about my food  and that it  was getting cold with no elect. ( she was nice) At time she told me that Reliant would replace my food and offer a hotel since it was their fault and that she would find out about the prioty lights out and to call back MondaY; when I called on Monday (which it started to snow) I was told that texas new mexico would not be turning my elect on due to the holiday and again they put me in a hotel for 2 day but my dogs had to stay in my trailer (20 degree weather) . then on Wed I came home and nothing was turn on; so I called reliant and was told it was not their responsiblty  and had to call Just Energy; so I did and I was told by Just Energy that they had to call the new mexico energy (which is related to Reliant)to have them turn it on but I would get charge around $79.00  then they could switch it back to Just Energy.  I had to go to work so I did when I came home it was on.  But when I called Reliant  to find out what they were going to do about my food I was told that it was Just Energy who should replace it which I told them no it was not ; at first I was told no then I spoke to a supurviser and she put in a request for a food voucher but she told me I had to have reciept ( which who keeps them after you put the food up; I have never kept them after I put my food away) . I was told she dought I will get it but she tried and it will take 30-45 day; minwhile  I have lost over $200. worth of food and unemployed. As you can tell I am very unhappy  Jean   This happen in Lewisville Tx

First, you should have researched the new company and read thier contract before switching.

Second, you should have read the contract you signed with the supplier you were changing from.

Not a total Ripoff on your original suppliers part, but IS a problem YOU created.

No, I DON'T work for either provider.
