Renova Flooring Patrick Kovacs Beware of Renova Flooring & Patrick Kovacs Dallas Texas
Beware of Renova Flooring and Patrick Kovacs. They will promise the moon, take your money and then bend you over. In October 2016 I contracted with Renova to purchase and install 2000sqft of wood laminate in my primary residence. The job was completed in a fairly timely matter, but the workmanship was subpar to say the least. First of all, the concrete subfloor wasn't properly floated. So I now have a floor with several large soft spots which is very annoying when walking on. It feels like walking on a water bed or trampoline! The transitions were not glued properly so they are now are popping up. And finally my new baseboards were not caulked as promised leaving large unsightly gaps between the laminate and baseboard. Also, the quarter round trim was not installed in one of the rooms. The installer had an attitude that was less than professional and his workmanship proved it. Secondly, their customer service is non-existent. My phone calls were ignored. When I finally was able to contact the representative (Billy) he would schedule the installer to come out for repairs and then nobody would show. When I called back Patrick, Billy or Gary they would have some lame excuse for not showing up. This group is a bunch of cons....avoid at all costs. To this date the job has never been rectified. I did pay with a credit card and hope to pursue a remedy via that route or through an attorney.

Since the original posting representatives of Renova have contacted me. They are 100% in favor of rectifying my situation. Renova for the past few months has been very busy with multiple jobs and other issues out of their control thus causing an out of the ordinary temporary lack of customer service. Since reaching out to me, I feel that Renova Flooring is serious about taking care of their customers. Please let it be known that my previous post was a bit hasty, and I apologize for any hurt feelings. In the future I would not hesitate to recommend Renova Flooring to others. Sincerely FLH
