Rentway ripoff rented me broken appliances and refused to fix them said they had other people to fix them and they had notified me but they never did. Flora illinois
I rented a 56 inch hdtv and the color went out of it. I called the manager and he sent 2 guys out to look at it and they picked it up and sent it to supposedly get it fixed had the set for almost 3 weeks brought it back said their was nothing wrong with it. The loaner they left all that time played fine except it was all beat up with chunks out of it and scratches all over it and on the screen. I bought a brand new one and that's what I expect back.
They said it was a receptacle problem. If this is the case why does everything play fine from the outlet. I also rented a side by side refrigerator that not long after having it delivered started leaking water all over the floor. I contacted the manager on this and he said he went send someone out.
One of the guys from rentway came out and said they would have to get a repair man to fix it but that was last june 2004 and I have been mopping up water ever since.
I have turned them into the better business bureau but they have not cooperated in this matter except to say they have tried to fix the appliances but I am never at home and I dont have an answering machine but guess what i have voice and caller id so you would think i would see or hear something from the phone and I stay at home everyday except from 1030 to 1120 so why haven't I heard from anyone if they called. I think all these months if they tried to get a hold of me they would have.
I finally after waiting all this time told them to come pick them up. I was tired of mopping my kitchen floor everyday and I was tired of waiting to get my new tv back.
