Reportage leather & suede jacket scammer in Midtown NYC New York New York
Same as all the rest -- drove up in rental car with three jackets asking for direx to Lincoln Tunnel/Newark Airport. On his way to flight, have to ditch coats for tax reasons, will sell for $600. I said I wouldn't carry that much, he said how much do you have, I said no. He said, look, do me a favor, take the coats -- gave me one leather and other suede for $110. They appeared nice in his well-rehearsed quick touch scam (Reportage logo looks like Armani at first glance), but they are obviously crap. Am giving them to Goodwill and am bummed.
Guy's act is VERY polished. He comes across as sympathetic and friendly. The minute he starts talking about the coats CALL THE COPS!!!
