As a current job seeker, I came across resumeaction.com on the internet as a way to blast my resume to dozens of relevant headhunters in my area. After filling out all the information on my industry of expertise, and uploading my resume, it was supposedly sent out to 72 recruiters/ employers for a flat fee of $39.00. After three weeks of not hearing anything, not even a confimation from any of those companies stating that they had received my resume, I was concerned.

So i printed out a list of all the companies my resume was "supposedly" sent to and researched each and every one. Turns out that most of them were not even close to my area of expertise, or weren't even in business anymore. Out of the 72 there was at the most 7 companies that were relevant.

Resumeaction.com has a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, so I contacted them and let know them what I found. They said that they would send my resume out again, and if I would tell them which companies were not in business that they would take them off their lists. This made me mad, because I feel that is their job, not mine, to stay on top of the companies in their databases.

Please do not send your hard-earned money to this company. There are lots of companies that prey on job seekers out there. And its best to just send your resume to each recruiter yourself- it should not cost you anything.

The day after I filed a report on RipoffReport.com, I informed Resume Action.com what I did and they reluctantly refunded my money. Actually it's one guy and he wasn't happy about it and bitched me out in an e-mail, but at least he did the right thing. Most people would have kept the money and wouldn't care.
