Complaint Review: Richard Ellenbogen Beverly Hills Body Plastic Surgery Specialists (?) - Los Angeles California

I don't need to write testimonials for myself. After35 years and 30,000 patients I have enough people who would be happy to write a testimonial with just a phone call.. This appears like I wrote a testimonial for myself but in actuality a patient after her surgery in my office wanted to write a favorable review.She is not internet savvy and one of my secretaries set her up on aol to write her review. She sat down at one of our office computers and wrote the review and posted it on my aol address instead of her own. I wasn't aware of this until recently when I was informed of this.
I have been unable to remove the review. As far as being called a psychopath this cowardly anonymous idiot who wrote this review refuses to give me their name so I can sue them for slander. i wonder why.

I am Dr. Ellenbogen writing my own answer to this slanderous non existent patient. Firstly, in 35 years I have never accepted insurance for anyone particularly breast cosmetic surgery which is not covered. My jealous competitor plastic surgeons with made up patients and untrue catasclysmic surgical occurances and post the on websites and I believe I know which doctor this is.
I have reviewed all of our records and no patient existed by this name or series of occurances in my practice.
As far as signing consents for surgery or risks of surgery these are signed and witnessed days before the procedures and never after a patient is anesthetised. This is plain craziness to accuse an experienced physician and his staff of this. I work in a federally licensed facility and the nurse in charge and the board certified anaesthesiologist wold never permit it.The rules are extremely strict and enforced.
  By the way I have had no malpractice claims of this nature filed or medical board complaints from this ficticious patient or anything even resembling her complaints.This complaint is simple character assasination probably by a competitor.

When I first went to see Dr Ellenboben I was very hesitant to make a consultation because of all the bad press circulating on the internet about him. I am very glad to see that I went to that consultation and I am become a repeat customer for Dr Ellenbogen. He is a delightful Doctor and he makes me feel very comfortable with him. He truly understands the human body and has mastered the art of plastic surgery.

Look how dishonest, stupid and pathetic "Dr." Richard Ellenbogus is -- his email address is [email protected], and he writes his own phony testimonials on just about every internet rating site -- I just found the one below on this webpage: http://losangeles.citysearch.com/review/32714620 Keep in mind, on reunion.com -- he even has uses this email address -- yet he also uses this same email address to false advertise and mislead people into thinking he's a good surgeon. He tries to discredit his numerous victims all of the time. Look at this -- it's just one of his phony testimonials -- he claims he is a pleased patient?!! Richard Ellenbogen what sort of surgery did you perform on yourself? Who is the psychopath?? Oh wait --it's you -- the one who is mutilating people and then trying to discredit them, while at the same time breaking the law by false advertising. How low do you need to go? Well, considering that psychopaths do not have any shred a conscience -- I guess you have to go exceptionally low -- which clearly you do. You know what Ellenbogen -- Psychopaths are exceptionally arrogant and delusional -- do you really think that you are a respected surgeon? All of your peers view you as an embarrassment and disgrace to the medical profession. At least we can prove to others who is writing those glowing testimonials about you!!

In response to what "Lillina" wrote about in her last post, I had my breasts operated on by Dr. Ellenbogen and Dr. Dadvand several years ago. First off I would like to praise both Plastic Surgeons for their flawless work on my breasts. Like Lillina I also had to undergo breast reconstruction. After numerous consultations with all of the "Best" Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons in Los Angeles, I chose Dr. Ellenbogen and Dr. Dadvand. Both doctors were honest with me about my expectations, and that they would do their best to make my breasts as perfect as possible. Needless to say I was ELATED with my results! Not only are they symetrical and natural in appearance,but the scars are no longer visible. The reason I felt compelled to write a rebuttal to Lillina's post was due to several fabrications in her post. During my consult with Dr. Ellenbogen and Dr. Dadvand I asked if they accept my insurance and was informed that they do not accept insurance AT ALL! Lillina claimed that they charged her insurance company 57k. Secondly, Dr. Ellenbogen's office was nicely decorated and the patient rooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful and gave my family updates during my procedure. I have sent two of my friends to Dr. Ellenbogen and they too were thrilled with their surgeries. Oh, and for Lillina's last claim that she was forced to sign legal documents while under anesthesia, I believe that is totally false. The anesthesiologist administered the anesthesia, Dr. Ellenbogen and Dr. Dadvand greeted me and the next thing I knew I woke up with near perfect breasts.
