Ricks towing& auto repair, did promise to fix my 93 dodge truck,it need a fuel pump, and he made like it need a wiring harness, and he said it was burnt up and needed replaced,( he creates problems at owners exp. ) come to find out when he replaced the fuel pump, when he raised the bed on the truck to put the fuel pump in , when he let the bed down it crimped the wiring harness and caused a short in the wiring. there for claiming that the wireing was burned in the first place.

i had to paying him up front to work on my truck, in the amount of 1,362.42 dollars for a fuel pump and computer , and wiring, i have called him all last winter and ask when the truck would be fixed, and he would say i am working on it,( i called him every day for six months ) he has had my pickup truck for 15 teen months, since Oct.2nd of 09 in the summer of 2010 he took it to a back yard mech. and they cut all of the wiring off of the engine, and removed the computer and put in back of truck and let it set for about three or four months in HuntingtonWV.

then he went and got the truck and brought it back to his place in Proctorville Ohio, then he let it set for another three months , then he told me that he was taking the truck to someone else, and its been there about three months, and Ricks towing has had them to call me, they are working on it,( i don't even know where the truck is!!! ) somewhere in Ohio ,Rickgave them my phone # and the way i understand it , now i got to pay this guy for working on my truck,in my book this a ripoff and the shaft and this man should be put in jail!!!!

i ask Rick Phillip towing for a refund , and he said why i can't do that. come to find i could not find in his shop, that he had and lic.to work on auto's and didn't see any towing lic. hanging on the wall, if he has lic. they must be in his pocket!! i will never use this man again for any work to be done on any auto, this man is a crook and i got the paper work to back it up!!!!

Make this jerk's life hell. File written complaints with state authorities for the unlicensed business operation. Then file a small claims case against him. In the future, always verify who you are dealing with BEFORE giving up your vehicle. And, ALWAYS get a written estimate. AND, always get an estimate on the repair time, and a guaranteed date to have the work completed.

NEVER pay up front! This is the first sign of a scam. Also check with the police as your state may have some sort of "theft by concealment" law.

This guy must be a total moron, because a monkey can change a fuel pump. And, I doubt this guy had the equipment or the smarts to diagnose a bad computer, but that takes less than an hour to change in most cases. Any marginally skilled mechanic could have done this whole job in 1 day after getting the parts.

In most cases, you don't save money by going to a backyard mechanic, junkyard mechanic, etc.

ALWAYS go to a reputable shop that displays ASE certifications of its technicians.
