Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I simply wished to let everyone know that this particular company skims over the required 8-hour Powers of Arrest (832 P.C) training, therefore rendering their staff as utterly and ridiculously undertrained, underqualified, as well as ignorant of the law.

Should you decide to work for or hire this company, I hope that you will consider this:

"All licensed security guards who were issued security guard registrations or hired on or after July 1, 2004, must complete not less than 32 hours of training. The security guard training must be completed within 6 months of issuance of the security guard registration or employment as a security guard. (See Assembly Bill 2880, enacted in 2002, amending the Private Security Services Act (PSA) within the Business and

Professions Code (B&P Code).)

Additionally, after January 1, 2005, all licensed security guards are required each year to complete 8 hours of additional dedicated review or practice of security guard skills.

B&P Code section 7583.6, and following authorize enactment of regulations that explain those training requirements. Section 643, of Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR's) outlines specific requirements for each Skills Training Course

for Security Guards.

Full text copies of the code and regulation sections referred to above are available on the web site of the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (Bureau) at: http://www.dca.ca.gov/bsis

Bureau staff members are presently engaged in a program of on-site inspections of licensee records to determine whether security guard staff members have received the mandatory security guard training within the requirements

mentioned above.

If you would like to schedule an inspection, please advise the Bureau via email at [email protected] of convenient days and times for an inspection.

Please keep in mind that B&P section 7587.1 authorizes the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs to revoke or suspend a license if it is found that the licensee has violated any provisions of, or any rule adopted pursuant to authority

contained in, the PSA." --Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, California.

Right Choice will give the guard card applicant the answer sheet to the test! In an industry that is generally frowned upon or laughed at by the general public, we don't need this kind of slipshod company hiring people to "preserve the peace" while encouraging breaking of the law. They will claim that they train to standard; however, they will blatantly circumvent the standard in order to push through applicants to fill vacant positions.

Beware of any of these security personnel, which can be found at a few of the following places in Sacramento, California: Azukar Cocina & Lounge, Mikuni Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar, Silk Bar & Cafe, Phoenix Casino, Park Ultra Lounge, Capitol Garage Cafe, Stoney Inn Bar & Grill, Zokku Restaurant & Lounge, etc. To see their client list, visit http://www.rightchoicesecurity.com/schedule/current.htm. DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CONFRONT THEIR "OFFICERS!" THEY ARE UNAWARE OF THE LAW AND MAY SERIOUSLY INJURE YOU!

Thanks for taking the time to read this far.

I had to laugh when I read your rip-off report because it is the SAME at almost every private security services contractor I EVER worked for, mainly in Texas but elsewhere as well. THEY ARE ALL ALIKE! I thought that since California has more progressive laboir laws than TExas that maybe the security persoonel would at least be treated right with SOME dignity. THANK YOU FOR THE WAKE-UP CALL! You need to do the right thing and turn these people over to the State agency in Californi that regulates private security companies. Have them send in an undercover investigator and put them OUT of business.... Unless, perhaps, they guys from the state agency are on the take too... I AM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE BUT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN THIS "BUSINESS"! I forgot... private security contractors have to pay a LOT of money to the State for licensing fees... Maybe that's why more of those security companies that ought to lose their licenses don't! They want to keep those high licensing fees coming in... BUT THESE SAME LICENSING AGENCIES WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY TO FINE THE HAPLESS GUYS IN THE CHEAP POLYESTER SUITS ( the Security personnel who actually work the guard posts that make them RICH!) for ANY petty rule violation --WHETHER THEIR d**n COMPANY TOLD THEM ABOUT ANY NEW POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FROM THE STATE OR NOT -- and MAYBE GET THEM PUT IN JAIL! Count on it.
