Complaint Review: RIVERSTONE RESIDENTIAL - spokane valley Washington

I recently moved out of Riverstone Residential. They are thieves. I have seen this as a tenant and also a vendor.

As a tenant-I lived in Ridgestone apartments in spokane valley for 8 months. Mold overtook my childrens' room. I put in a work order for maintenance to come. He showed up 3 weeks later only to cut out huge portions of the wall and leave wiring exposed. He told me he would be back to patch the wall and the wires were ok for the kids. He did not come back for another 2 weeks only to STILL leave it exposed! I complained to the owner and called a lawyer who insisted I push the issue as mold is serious for respiratory issues. I have 3 children under the age of 5. After he cut the mold out in the kids room (leaving more than 10 feet of sheetrock and wiring exposed) he cut out a portion in my room. Then, mold showed up in the living room. Thankfully the owner told them to let me out of my lease. I hired carpet cleaners to come, cleaned excessively, replaced blinds, lightbulbs, drip pans, and painted all wall issues. Thankfully I took pictures because even with a clean walk-through sheet, I was charged with them replacing the blinds and drip pans. The Regional (also a scammer) told me that she went through the next day and there were no blinds present or drip pans. SCAMMERS.

 As a vendor- I have a cleaning business specializing in turn-overs. I had to not only ask for my money to be sent to me but CHASE after riverstone to pay me. It took over 9 weeks to get paid in the Fall. I would call corporate in Seattle who would inform me I had to speak with the Regional Manager. So I would call the regional manager every day for weeks and weeks and never recieve a call-back or a pay-check. 

Also, after having a falling out at Eagle Rock over the price I charged for an apartment clean. The maintenance manager (husband of the regional manager) gave me a check for the wrong amount and left me a VERY aggressive voicemail stating I was glad he paid me anything at all. He told his wife he was not happy with me and she told the other complexes that they were not allowed to use my services any longer since I argued with her husband. The maintenance at the other property text messaged me and apologized and told me they were happy with my services but being forced by the regional to let me go. RIDICULOUS. They have done everything they can to sabotage my business name and work available!!!

As a friend-My apartment manager was a workaholic. Bonnie Hardy. She was loved by all the tenants and sold the apartments..A lot of us never would have rented there if it weren't for her cheerful attitude. She has experience as an apartment manager for over 25 years and has NEVER been terminated from a job. She would wake at 5:30 a.m. and sit at the gate of the complex and provide coffee and donuts for all the residents as they left for work in the mornings. She kept all the apartments filled with new tenants. There are tenants in the complex who have been there over 4 years and said she was the BEST apartments manager they had ever had...in their life. And I believe it!!! She always took care of the residents' problems immediatly and tried her very best to keep everyone happy. And she was good at it!!! But in December of 2013 I went into the office to find her crying..She tried to say everything was ok but I insisted she share her problems. SHe told me she was getting fired...Because the regional said she should have charged a pet fee for someone that had a service animal. She was written up for ridiculous things that every property did and terminated in January 2014. I am glad I am gone. The regional manager brought in her best buddy (a WITCH to put it nicely) who is young and blond (reoccuring thing with Riverstone) that used to work at the complex before Bonnie but was fired because she couldn't get new tenants to rent or keep up with paperwork.

Wrongful termination.

This company is full of a bunch of discriminatory thieves who care nothing at all about other people. Tenants or vendors or people doing their job..(and then some)
