Complaint Review: Robbie Casas - Nashville Tennessee

 I recently moved to Nashville from a different state and am strapped for cash as a result.  So not to have another expensive monthly bill to pay, I put an add on Craigs List to see if someone had an extra car they would be willing to rent to me while I save up some money.  Robbie called and said he had a 1994 Saturn that sits in the lot and he said he was actually tired of seeing it each day.  I went to his apartment complex to meet him, He signed a rental agreement and I paid him his first payment.  He told me that if I made three bi-weekly payments, he would sign ownership of the car over to me. After I made the 3^rd payment, he came by my apartment late night and took the car while I was sleep.  He called and left messages on my phone saying he had a feeling something was wrong so he came to check the car out and found that I had messed up the transmission so he took it back.  How much sense does that makes?  This guy thinks I’m an idiot; obviously! He left 5 minute messages each time saying things like “Dude, I trusted you with my car and you just ran it into the ground” and “Why wouldn’t you tell me the transmission was going up, the deal is off”.  Again, the dude must really believe he’s dealing with an idiot.  The car is 20 years old with over 250k miles on it.  I only drove it to work and back which is about 18 minutes both ways.

What he didn’t know was that on the first day I got the car, we recorded the conversation with him.  I had a friend who was also there during the first transaction (Certified mechanic) look at the car and document what work needed to be done on it.  We took pictures of every part of the car including under the hood and the bottom of the car to record what condition it was in before I started driving it.  He didn’t know that every time we came in contact with each other the conversation was recorded.  He never paid attention the sign on my wall that says “You are being recorded”.  So I have him recorded twice saying that the car would and should be mine by now.  I have recordings of him signing receipts.  He came to my job to get a payment one time so I had a co-worker take pictures of him taking the payment and signing an agreement that said the car was mine after I paid him $500 on the 25^th. While at the job I told him I lost my badge while walking out of the building to get him to walk closer to the building in an attempt to find the badge.  This was just to get him closer to the camera.

Looking at some of the other postings about this guy, I realized he didn’t get me as bad as others because I was actually using the product I was paying for.  I still feel like we need to get together and take this guy down somehow.  Did you read the post from the 67 year old widow that he ripped off?  Let’s get him!  I have a feeling he’s going to show up on payday looking for additional money to pay for his so called destroyed transmission.  I’m from Baltimore Maryland and I will beat him down like the piece of S&%t he is if he tries me but I would rather handle this peacefully. I even had my brother and cousin drive up from GA for a few days to stay with me just in case he comes by.  Again, I would rather handle this guy peacefully so contact me, reply to this post, let’s get together and take him down.  I have the recordings if it will help any of you, just let me know.
