Robinson Township Prizant's entered illegally, poor workmanship, took almost 2 months to finish the job, lost rent ripoff Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
I hired Prizants to intall some carpet in a rental property that i own. I went to the store picked out a carpet and color and paid half up front. I was under some time constraints; the property being rental property and all; however the appt i made with them to have them intall the carpet was never kept and never cancelled. I waited around for them and then never showed. the reason i had purchased from them way because they had gaurented this date for my rental property.
When I finally did get to reschedule an appt and they showed. Almost 2 weeks later, they took it upon themselves to enter the property without my knowledge and start working. The letter from the attorney states that they did call on route however the message I recieved the caller did not identify themself or leave a call back number.
When they arrived I asked them to leave the property and called the police however they continued working and since I had scheduled an appointment with them the police would not get involved.
The persons who came by to do the job never got to hear any of my special instructions since they started working without my knowledge and continued even after I asked them to leave. When I questioned them about the job they did they refused to fix my problems and wanted paid. When I said no, they said they had my credit card on file so that it was no big deal to them.
They did bill my credit card without my consent or without my signiture on the reciept. And when I call the store to tell them the story they hung up on me and told me they were done. After I called every other office in pittsburgh, another store gave me the district manager name and number. I finally got that manager who I never actually spoke with but left several messages for.
After more that 4 weeks or phone calls and begging and pleading someone came back to fix it. But they could not fix a vent covering that was incorrectally installed and did not have the additional carpet to fix the other problems. Another week or so later they sent someone else who did attempt to fix what they could.
I am extreemly disatisifed with the service and the "contractors" that prizant's hires. They take advantage of the little guy when you want the job done right and they threatened to sue me once I told them I was disputing the credit card charges. they had their lawers send me a letter saying that I was not letting them finish (personally I did not want them back in my house after the first time and I wanted them out then too). And that I was being unreasonable.
Please beware that this company is very agressive. They refuse to acknowledge their mistakes. They will not send an inspector or fix they job - just threaten you any way they can. Pay the extra money and get anyone else to purchase or install carpet for you.
