After several emails and telephone calls, a representative from Roctel did call me and said that they did show a cancellation of their service on June 16th 2006, by one of their cust reps., Judy. I was still charged the following month for this ridiuclous service. I asked, if the service was cancelled, why did I get another charge on my phone bill? The Roctel Representative said and I quote, "Your phone company has rejected and blocked our request to cancel this service." Of course this sounds like a bunch of crap, so I called my local telephone company, Embarq, and explained to their representative what Roctel had just told me. The Embarq representative actually laughed about what Roctel had told me about rejecting to cancel services. According to the Embarq representative, Roctel made no attempt to contact them about the cancellation of this service. Embarq promptly put my phone number on a block from their services and set up dispute claims for the charges that were previously charged to my phone bill from this company. Hooray! Thanks Embarq~ I should have called them in the first place! Now, the hard part is waiting another month to see if Roctel decides they want to charge me again for this stupid privacy plus voicemail.
