On December 9, 1995 our son was killed by a hit and run drunk driver. The police later named the person being sought for questioning in this as being Rogelio Alvarez Guillen. He is described as being 5' 10", 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He used to reside at 716 N. Pecan Street in Arlington, Texas.

He left our 16 year old son (who was riding his bicycle home), and his friend, laying in the streets like some animal. This coming December 9th will be six years since he murdered our young boy.

After finding other drunken drivers listed here, we decided to list Rogelio here as well. We know the power that this site has when it comes to righting wrongs done to people so we post this here now in hopes that someone will read it and finally come forward with the information that the police need.

The accident took place at 600 Block of South Collins Street near the Mitchell Street intersection in Arlington, Texas, late in the night on December 8th of 1995. Our son died in surgery early in the morning hours of December 9th, 1995.

Two boys were riding the bicycle, our son and his friend. His friend was peddling it and our son was riding standing on the back of it, as many young kids do now a days. Our son was wearing his black Dallas Cowboys jacket with a huge silver star on the back of it.

The abandoned 1969 Ford van was found nearby in the 300 block of Ditto Avenue. Witnesses say they saw two men pushing it. The second man may have been Rogelio's brother.

There were no signs of skid marks before the van struck and dragged the two boys 160 feet and eight teen open beer bottles were found inside the van.

Can you help us to finally get some earthly justice in this case??

Hey Brenda, Just saw your response and thought I would respond to it. I am the mother whose son was killed. I am the one who posted the orginal post on this. So, to answer your questions: "How much time elapsed between the crash and finding the van?" Not long at all and not long enough for someone to consider it to be abandoned. See the drunken idiot tried to push the van away but took off after he couldn't get it further than 1 1/2 blocks. No one else entered the van to drink or do anything else. The witnesses stated the driver was drunk. The empty bottles inside the van just confirmed it. That and previous DUI's as well. "The driver of the van may not have been the lawful owner." Yep he was, that was confirmed by the police. "The second man helping him push may have been the lawful owner." Nope this was the drunken idiot's brother who helped him push it. "He may not have had any inclination as to what actually transpired that night." Being my son's head came through the windshield and being that they had to go past my son who was lying there, beeding in the street, they knew exactly what happened that night. "He actually may have information that could help you." Nope, the only way he can "help" us is by turning himself in but he has so far failed to do that. "He however may be to afraid to come forward." He should be. He should also be afraid of me finding him before the police do. "I am sorry for your loss." Thank you very much.

How much time elapsed between the crash and finding the van?If it was longer than two hours it is possible that someone entered the van simply to drink. They may have thought it abandoned and simply a convienent spot. The driver of the van may not have been the lawful owner. They may have stolen it or swiped it.The second man helping him push may have been the lawful owner. He may not have had any inclination as to what actually transpired that night. He actually may have information that could help you.He however may be to afraid to come forward.Fearing being charged with a crime he did not commit, nor had a hand in commiting. If you could get the prosecutor to publcize his immunity you may get a result. This is especially true if hes a mexican national. Why? He may have fled to a border town. Close enough to keep up with news and far away enough not to be found. I am sorry for your loss.
