So originally the Rogers account was in my fathers name, at the end of August 2009(after many attempts to do so) it was switched into my name. (I was moving out on my own). We hadn't connected internet, cable or phone til mid September, they charged us for the non-usage, but it was later rebated. As well, I had made several attempts (3), to disconnect my phone (I had a cell phone, so i didn't want to pay for another one). I must admit that I stopped paying them shortly afterward because I had been going to school for 2 years and was unemployed(money was very tight). I noticed about december that they were still charging me for phone service (They continued to do this until cancelation). The bill got pretty high (around $900), which I'm young and once i have money will pay back, so I'm not too worried about my horrible credit rating. On this note too, obviously they've been hassling me about payments, as well, they've been harassing my father for payments as well (although his name is off the account, and I switched phone numbers). I'm having trouble paying them back obviously, and I'm going through a rough time. But I'm not paying the full amount owed. I've called into rogers to try and switch things and change info, and cancel plans. They can't do anything right on their phone service. (When I switched the names and address to myself in August, I called in about 15 times, I'm not exaggerating, they kept re-routing me to the "wrong person". The last person they routed me to was the wireless department [I DON'T HAVE A CELL PHONE WITH THEM], I told her my story about being jerked around, and she changed all my information... BECAUSE THEY ALL HAVE THE ABILITY TO ACCESS THE ACCOUNT!!!).




Anyway, that's my story about my experience with Rogers. I will pay my outstanding Internet and Cable bill.... I used those. But my phone bill... I never had a lan-line phone hooked up at all, they can check their records any everything. not a single call sent or received.
