Roof Rite Roofing Co, Palmdale is owned by Gabor Magyari . We hired Gabor to repair our leaking flat roof. His faulty workmanship caused a huge damage on our home. Gabors contractors license 373537 has complaints filed against it (check out the contractor’s license board). Their warranty means nothing because the company does not service it.
My experience with Gabor Magyari, the owner was very unfortunate. The damage and this whole situation is devastating to us. In order to repair our roof leak Gabor placed, what turned out to be a SHOWER DRAIN on our roof. This drain was not a proper drain for a roof. The installation (and the entire work) was not to code. The drain was insulated with glue, which melted in the sun and caused the whole set up to leak water into the ceiling and the walls of our home, over months.
After a few month the we were shocked to see the roof collapse. Mold had developed in the home, which was very expensive to remove and we had to obtain and official clearance certificate. The faulty workmanship of Gabor and his company cost us over $50K. And, we are not even done yet. When we first contacted the owner Gabor to discuss his matter, we were met with excuses and vague statements.
He was trying to weasel his way out of what was clearly his responsibility. When we sent pictures and other proof he played for time, saying he would get back to us soon and talk to his insurance about his warranty. It's been over three months of back and forth and we finally had no choice but to hire a lawyer. It's unfortunate because now it gets even more expensive.
We are placing reviews everywhere because clients who may consider hiring this company should know what can happen and be aware of their unprofessional business tactics. Very shady company. They also work as a subcontractor for a solar company called Green Solar Technologies located on Laurel Canyon in North Hollywood.
We called Solar Technology first of course to see if they would help matters. But we got sent to Gabor and were told to leave them out of this. We understand that they don't want to take on responsibilities for their subcontractors. However, they should not be recommending nor employing a company like that, as this may reflect negative on them too. Anyone who is interested can contact us for more details.
