Buyers Beware of "Earnest Money RIP OFF Tactics" of an "Recreational Vehicle Dealer-*RV Corral*located in Eugene, Oregon.

My husband Karl and I visited this RV Sales Business in search of an affordable fifth wheel for us to live in, we selected an 1998 Avion 37.5 foot which was offered for sale as a consignment. We inquired about possible financing and were told that that financing was available. We were notified that we'd have to first pay an up front "Earnest Money Deposit prior to being offered financing, but if it occurred that the financing was not approved that the Earnest Money Deposit would be 100% fully refunded back to us".

We paid an amount of $500.00 per Bank Card Debit immediately on Saturday 03/01/2014 and were given a transaction reciept. The purchase amount was $21,000.00. We left and returned to our home to await a few days as to whether we would be Approved for the financing. We contacted the business on 03/05/2014 and were told that the financing had not been approved due to too low credit score, but they insisted to us that they might be able to get loan approval through a different financer, that they would be able to know an answer by that coming Friday 03/07/2014. We really liked the Avion fifth wheel trailer and so we agreed to wait for an answer per this other financing option.

We did not recieve a call as promised by the end of the business day of 03/07/2014. On Saturday morning 03/08/2014, we contacted the RV Corral and inquired regarding the status of the requested financing and were verbally notified that the financing had not been approved. We were verbally told by the finance handler named Mike that he would reverse the Bank Debit Card Transaction Amount of $500.00 back into our Bank Account that day. Mike asked for the Bank Debit Card Number which had been used to complete the Earnest Money Deposit so that he could return our money to us.

We complied to his request by giving him the information on the Visa Bank Check Debit Card. He told us that the funds should be back in the account that day not to worry. Later that same day in the late afternoon, we checked the balance of our checking account via ATM and discovered that the funds still were not returned into our account! I again made a phone call to ask about our $500.00 refund and the Mike person was extremely rude yelling over the phone at me that I was not supposed to call... Woman! By this Mike, and he immediately hung up on me!

At time of this writing @ 1:38 am 03/09/2014, I'm very worried and distraught as to whether we will recieve our funds back to us?! I'm awaiting the weekend to end come first thing Monday morning when my Bank opens for business hours with hope of resolving this monetary matter. I hope that we won't have to hire an attorney to sue this Deceitful Business to get our money back! I will post later regarding the outcome of this debauchery!

This customer has admitted she used the wrong dealership name. Is there any way Ripoff Report can change the heading so it does not shoe wht RV Corral as the dealer who tried to keep her money? It would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Tina Ray

Earnest Money Deposit Returned

Thank You Rip Off Report! Our $500.00 Earnest Money Deposit was finally returned to us by "RV OUTLET, Eugene, Oregon". We're relieved to have our money returned back into our bank from the bad consumer experience we had dealing with the "RV OUTLET" Dealer located in Eugene, Oregon. I hope that other people do not have to endure the untrustworthy business tactics and the "rude behavior" that we went through dealing with this business. We were very distraught due to the deceiving statements made to us by agents of this business... the rude obnoxious run-around that we recieved in trying to have a full refund of the money that we put down as an earnest money deposit to show an act of good faith and our seriousness per purchase of an Avion fifth wheel trailer; $500.00 might not be a real large sum of money according to some people, but in this day and age with our economy like it is... our hard earned income just doesn't amount to much, but to most folks $500.00 is alot! The main principle is to be HONEST! It was OUR MONEY and we were promised a FULL REFUND upon the FAILURE OF THEIR LOAN FINANCE PROCESS! They couldn't legally keep our money whereas we recieved No Product. What a big Hassle it was for us to get our money back from this business... Prospective Buyers Beware!

I also want to re-iterarate my apology towards "RV Corral"... also located in Eugene, Oregon... these two RV Dealerships are fairly close in location proximity and are easy to get their business identities confused, in actuality when I contacted the "RV Corral" the agent that answered my call was very polite to me and seemed concerned over the problems that we were having with the "RV OUTLET" and gave me some helpful advice and voiced to me the fact that the other RV Dealership had to give us our money back and weren't entitled to keep the money. I would rather refer people interested in purchasing an RV to go visit the "RV CORRAL"... and to stay away from the "RV OUTLET"!

Business Name Correction

I unintentionally MIS-TITLED the correct name of the Recreational Vehicle Sales Store pertaining to this rip off Report concerning of our $500.00 Earnest Deposit Money paid to initiate financing in GOOD FAITH. The CORRECT BUSINESS NAME should be listed as "RV OUTLET" of Eugene, Oregon. I make honest APOLOGY to the mistaken Business Identified incorrectly as being "RV CORRAL" of Eugene.  Respectfully Submitted to CORRECT THIS MISTAKEN INFORMATION.

Shirley I understand your frustration but I want you to know that I'm going to try to do everything I can to help you get your 500 bucks back. The founder of the website here knows who IM and I will personally make a phone call to see what I can do to help you out. I personally will contact the finance manager and speak to him and do whatever I can for you.

Many times when I make a phone call it doesn't take very long fyour buyer to you're heir money back. Trust me Shirley the editor and founder of this website knows who I am. I know the RV industry like the back of my hand And I personally will have a conversation with the finance director and want to find out who IM and what we do he will be more than happy to help you get your money back.

Remember this Shirley when you go to buy vehicle or an RV you don't have to put any money down if you don't want to if you haven't received the vehicle that day. Most of the time dealerships will request a deposit to make sure that you're a serious buyer but if you tell them without a shadow of a doubt that you are a buyer but you're not putting the money down on a credit card or check or cash until after you see that you have been personally approved They still won't move forward to try to get the deal done.

There is a dealership a Ford dealership back east that tried to pull a fast one on a customer that was trying to buy a Shelby GT Mustang. They requested that the buyer put $10,000 down and once they got the car from Carroll Shelby they would send it to the customer. But the buyer had to put $10,000 down.

After the dealership could not get the car the car buyer wanted is $10,000 back, And rightfully so. I personally spoke to the dealerships manager and he would not give the $10,000 back. And that report is posted on this website. Anyways I come to realize that the dealership the Ford dealership was in violation of the franchise agreement with Ford Motor Company doing this.

So I personally called William Clay Ford and I spoke to him and a gentleman by the name of said deep And Stephen Kincaid. I told him about the story I told him to look into the franchise agreement and it will probably find that the dealership was in violation of the franchise agreement with Ford Motor Company like I said.

a couple of days later they call me back and agreed with me that the dealership was in violation of the franchise agreement and they personally were going to make a phone call to tell the dealership to give the customer is moneyback all $10,000.

Needless to say I got an email from the editor at ripoff report telling me that the customer that was trying to buy the Shelby GT Mustang was so happy that he offered me $1000 which I refuse the money.

I personally called the guy and told him to take the thousand dollars that he wanted to give me and spend it all in one night on his wife. What I do is not about the money it's about doing the right thing. And I personally will do whatever I can for you I don't let up believe me.

I've been doing this for eight years and I know what to do and I know what strings to pull. I personally will dig in this for you and I want you to keep me updated on this report, So continue to post updates as you when I progress forward to get your money back it will not be a hard task for me to do.
